While true, claiming Tencent "owns" ActBlizz, is a very inaccurate exaggeration.

Safe to say that they have a seat at the table though.

Yes, they own 5% - and are therefore owners, alongside a lot of other shareholder. But saying it as "they own ActiBlizz", might give an inaccurate picture of them holding the majority of shares, which is, nicely said; inaccurate.

Thing is all mega gaming corporations have hard on for chineese market. To acess chineese market they have to deal with chineese companies. And obey these companies demands.
As recent events showed, corporations not only willing to sacrafice literally every pretend of being good guys which care for human rights, freedom of speech and other western values to please their chineese overlords, but actually go even beyond that, giving chineese branchies, a puppets of their chineese proxy companies, full executive power over gloabl decisions.
Tencent might own only 5% of ActiBlizzard, but it also controls chineese market, which makes Tencent words very influential if not outright gives them full control over company decisions.

Would it? Well, I guess very much yes. If it were released on this side of Christmas.

That is why GGG should make sure 4.0 release is truly polished, so they can truly stand out and truly be a contender that really says Oomph, and have ingame things that is taking your breath away.

And believe me, GGG knows this.

blizzard can sell a rock with the trailers they make.
