BSOD with only POE

Greetings! First system specs

AMD Phenom x6 3.2ghz
Gygabit motherboard model GA-890FXA-UD5
8gb of Kingston HyperX ram 1600mhz
Radeon HD6900 series 2gb from Gygabit
X-fi Titanium card
Windows 7 Pro on SSD

A few patches ago this game ran fine actualy. I managed to get up to lvl 9 with no problems and this was about I want to say.. nearly about 4 months ago.

Right now it gives the BSOD problem. I tried both fullscreen and window mode but get the BSOD error of SERVICE_EXCEPTION_FAULT. One thing I notice when running in window mode is when it loads itll randomly say up top Not Responding. As if it crashed or something. Does this mean its having issues loading drivers?

Also, I have not updated any drivers what so ever even the months back when I played. I am currently now lvl 10. I will be trying the -nosound trick and then update drivers.
4 BSODs (page fault in non paged area) after 0.9.11

I never ever had BSOD before.

I have a Audigy2ZS sound card (see other threads about Creative cards and PoE).

Have the same issue, my card is a Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro. Windows crashed to blue screen 2 times while zoning into areas in act 2 within a 30 min span. I got the " PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA " error message. Gonna try the beta drivers and hopefully this resolves it.

I've got the same card and the exact same problem as Solrac. This has never happened until the latest patch.
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit

Creative X-Fi PCI Express Sound Blaster Titanium

I too have a Creative X-Fi PCI Express Sound Blaster Titanium and I'm experiencing the portcls.sys blue screens only in PoE. This is becoming frustrating, especially when some posters said after frequent blue screens their sound cards stopped working. I don't want to risk destroying my sound card, but I also don't want to play with out sound.

What's weird about this issue is, I can ply for a few hours no issues, but another play session may only last for 20 minutes before a blue screen. I tried installing the newest drivers from Creative, no luck, I also installed the newest beta drivers from Creative, again no change. I don't want to have to enable and disable on board sound (it's done through BIOS on my machine). Are there any other suggestions here? If PoE is causing an issue with creative drivers, there must be some feature of preference with in the drivers that if disabled may clear this issue up. I am really digging PoE and would like to continue playing, but not at the risk of potentially destroying my sound card.
I tried to edit my post but I'm told the resource can't be found. For the time being I'm just going to disable sound in the game until a solution is found.
I've only glanced at the beginning/end of this thread because it's so long, but throwing my post on the pile:
I've only been played during this current open weekend, and I got to Act 2 on Saturday. Over the course of the day, I had 5 BSODs, and every single time it was when I was transitioning from one area to the next.

I also have a Creative sound card, Creative SB X-Fi.

I really hope this gets fixed, because other than these BSODs I've been absolutely loving Path of Exile.
same problem, x-fi titanium hd, fixed by latest beta drivers from Creative
