It's so BORING to do storyline all over again

Leveling in D3-like adventure mode would not be different for you, then. It would be the same daily quests with zero replayability and no fun involved.

Or have i missed your point, and you're actually arguing for the removal of the leveling process altogether?

I'll give you that D3's story is much worse than PoE's or D2's, but, no, it's definitely 100% because it's more efficient to play adventure mode. It's only about speed. If they buffed monster density by 500% in the story mode, the story mode would be everyone's leveling choice... except that they'd hit level 70 by mid-act-2 and then go play rifts (important thing to remember: the level of _everything_ scales with you in D3, not just in adventure mode). Because that's how long it takes to level in diablo 3. Ew.

And if they nerfed monster density in adventure mode by 80% instead... some people would switch to story mode for leveling (which is balanced to the point so if you play on expert all the way through, you hit 70 right around the end of act 5), and others would just quit because blizzard has made them addicted to instant gratification.

It makes me want to vomit.

While I don't mind trudging through act content every league. I do mind the fact GGG spent the better part of an entire on an expansion that did nothing but recycled existing acts and then called it their biggest expansion ever.

Comparing 3.0 to 3.1 is a joke despite the latter taking far less development time.

With that said, I think ggg 'thinks' the fleshed out act content would lead more players to stay around and grind maps which is their ultimate goal. "Once the players reach end game maps, their wallets are tied to us" - or something similar.

I've been saying this for a long time: there needs to be an alternative to campaign for leagues. It's plain nauseating at this point.

Whenever I bring it up, some fanboy will jump in and say "We like it this way, go play Diablo 3". Look, I never used D3 as a comparison, but even then that game has some good qualities to it. Why not introduce an adventure endless mapping mode for leveling? I want to play maps, I don't ever want to run campaign again. Even if you string all the campaign Acts together, remove all that fetch quests, it's still better than what it is today.

Another thing is leveling masters every league, this and campaign turns me away from leagues.

We jump in and say that because you are literally exactly asking for D3's adventure mode. And the reason we don't think it's a "good quality" is because for those of us that care about efficiency, it would become mandatory.

Unless you'd be a-okay with monster density in this endless ledge mode being absolute garbage?

Because if you would, awesome, have fun spending twice as long getting to maps as those of us playing the story.

Basically you don't wish to be compelled to play adventure mode, because it is more efficient than campaign.

On the flip side, have you ever considered players who don't wish to play campaign mode again, but have to? Not even about efficiency or time, just the pure doldrum of doing quests and endless quests again and again.

Like I said, I would even prefer a modified campaign mode without all that side quests. But it seems like pro-campaign players would never accept any form of compromise, because they want everyone to be playing on their level of efficiency. For me it was never about the efficiency; I just hate running story mode again and again, find Victario's bust, find Chitum plum, ribbon spool, run back and forth repeatedly. Just let me kill monsters and level up without all that please.

Whether you like it or not, this is a game with a story, right up from the moment your character washes up on shore. Adding adventure mode to D3 was the point at which I gave up on the designers _ever_ getting anything right. There was never a need to do that with D2 (or PoE!) because the story mode is _actually fucking good_.

yeah but after the 1000th time its not as good

that said 3.0 made life a lot better by making us not have to repeat the story 4 times per character
I dont see any any key!
I can totally understand the annoyance that comes with running sidequests&sideareas, and the desire to just level up by killing monsters, honestly.
But i highly doubt GGG's planning to alter that any time soon.
