I don't see why Vinktar must remain a special snowflake with it's 20%. Other similar flasks have 2% and are decent, with just the extra damage without the shock. Vinktar would still be good with 2% leech, without being so evidently out of line with the rest.
And with the ability to keep things like Rumi's up a little more the Pathfinder would remain so much more appealing, probably without beeing broken.


Yeah I agree currently 20% is probably too strong. Hoping they do something about leech/instant leech for example if they make VP only work with life 20% leech on lightning damage might be ok, depending what/if they do with life. But given vinktar itself has the 80-100% increased charge used it's clear they didn't intend for this thing to have 100% uptime so I bet they'll do something about that as well.

I'm all for buffing stuff in general but if we keep ramping up shit to blade vortex + pathfinder levels then the game would be a complete joke. While your mass buffing stuff, you need to keep the top of the things down.

This is coming from a dude that thinks CoC discharge was okay with minor nerfs since it costed 100+ exalts to be good with a ton of specialized gear. (too many ways to get charges, voll's devo nerf?)

Blade vortex + pathfinder is better then that, more accessible and by far cheaper and comfortable to play for a fraction of that price.

nerf master surgeon and bv ci pathfinders will just roll master alchemist + the harvest, trading some damage and defenses from mh+shield + shieldcharge/whirling blades for unlimited flask of any kind, 1.2% global leech, 20% to freeze and ignite and inmunity to all status ailments.
Would that tradeoff be worse? probably, would the build still faceroll everything without even needing to think about dodging stuff? yes.
GGG is retarded and cant balance for shit. They just nerf nerf nerf nerf. No point anymore. Maybe when they calm the hell down with the destruction of popular builds a lot of the old timers will come back.

Remove Pathfinder.
Add new wepaon - crossbow.
Add new Ranger Ascendency for crossbows.

Legacy vinktars was retardedly OP - instant 30% life/mana leech.

Nerfing it doesnt solved shit because vaal pact still exists.

Pathfinder is not the only way to have infinite flask charges but is simply the easiest.

Nerfing pathfinder to destroy any multi hitting build (we seen few like cyclone/ball lightning/barrage) effectively deletes this ascendency class from the tree as if right side was not bad enough. It wouldnt solve shit because there are other ways to generate infinite flasks charges.

So what needs to change ? Flasks. Unique flasks like vinktars were created to allow for temporal buff not a permanent one. Capping usage of such flasks for example once per 20 sec (hard cap 20s. Cd) means player has to choose when to use them.

It would destroy every multi hitting charge generation build. You wont be able to facetank shit.

The most likely thing, IMO, is a universal blanket nerf on "flask charges gained on XX" mods. If this isn't the fix then everyone would just roll wormblaster and it would be exactly the same, except now you need an absurdly rare weapon (Harvest) to make it work (cue the QQ).

"Flasks can now only gain a charge at most once per 0.XX seconds from non-kill sources." Barely or not even a nerf to any build besides BV/pathfinder and wormblaster. Would need tweaking with writhing jar because you produce so many worms so quickly that you could probably work around this. Maybe writhing jar worms can no longer grant flask charges.
