Blade vortex, pathfinder, and CI are getting nerfed

Remove VP, nerf player dmg by a massive amount(bigger nerf the more area a skill covers) and reduce monster spike dmg. Watch how the game evolves and balance from there.
The Bestiary league proved once and for all, that GGG only listens to crying instead of well thought out criticism.
Just wait till ES mana based guardian supports get popular 20k ES is going to be the norm.
guys you are ALL over-complicating this when theres the ONE and only thing that needs to be nerfed...

ES ITSELF needs a nerf. those 15000-32000 ES pools are rediculous compared to an average 5k life build.

toning ES down to roughly half it value seems more legit(you can still do 10000 or higher es builds but you need GG gear for it).

Thank god you don't work for GGG.
Make it completely useless against reflect why don't you.

Reflect is already dangerous even as an elementalist, any reduction in leech efficiency would be absolutely soul crushing.

CI is fine and has always been fine. The issue isn't that CI can tank blows but that so many things gib life builds.
CI Pathfiner with BV is broken, but that has far more to do with pathfinder and BV than it does CI.

CI is FINE and even GR......just the moment VP is added to the equation when one already has a ton of ES and absurd amount of DMG makes this an issue. Trivializes content that way, while life suffers because they cannot match ES in terms of eHP. Life can try to match with ES in eHP, but that damage suffers a lot. Removing Pathfinder and BV would help, but will not completely remove the problem. It just requires GGG to accidentally buff up another skill that was not meant to be buffed up since it is fine or introduce another unbalanced skill to bring back the problem. Everyone build suffers from reflect, one not ought to tank reflect. If you can, you must face a possibility of dying from a strong mob. With such an overbloated ES, one-shots might not occur.

Pathfinder is an issue with unique flasks for the most part, and having blade vortex does not help either. Blade Vortex has power (damage) and speed (hit rate) making it an all-in-one skill (already mentioned this). Blade Vortex should at least be nerfed significantly in the power portion.

Either way, these are just suggestions. GGG does not need to take any of this (including everyone in this thread) consideration, but it can possibly spark them with their own set of ideas to balance these "issues."

maybe they should deal with the actual issue, like the fact that many builds HAVE to use vinktars leech / vaal pact / massive ES pools to do endgame bosses/maps safely and not die to reflect. if you just mindlessly nerf all of the currently popular shit to worthlessness and leave everything else in the game as it is, do you really think the game will be better off? for example, the fact that volatiles hit for 12k+ unavoidable damage in red maps is fucking stupid. there are other issues that i don't feel like getting into as well, mostly involving current flask mechanics in boss fights in general (i think every class should get passive charges slowly over time like pathfinder or something similar, or at the very least there should consistently be more adds during boss fights)

i dont usually post here but your posts in this thread triggered me, sorry

Sigh..

There's nothing wrong with CI.

There's something wrong with Vinktars existing and Pathfinder having a recharge mechanic for crits that work on unique flasks, thus negating Vinktars single use for please-I-need-to-not-die purpose.

There's nothing wrong with Vaal Pact or Ghost Reaver either. These things are fine as they are, but vinktars gives you powerful leech for a FLASK slot, something normally reserved for passives, curses and other gem slots. Meaning you'd have to make a sacrifice in either passives or gem slots, thus damage or defense. Vinktars circumvents this.

It's a massive balance oversight that damnable flask was allowed into the game at all.
