Uh im 56/125 and im swimming in red maps, Vaults, Underground Sea, Precinct, Plateau, Gorge, Scriptorium.

Im willing to bet the people complaining arent even alching their maps, theres literally zero excuse for being unable to sustain T11-T12 right now.

I think this is the whole crux of the problem though. It's easy to say "theres literally zero excuse", but it happens.

Let me give you a personal example... the Spoiler below shows 5 of my last 7 maps (The other two were a bit lower qty wise). Maps I've worked up to and had hoped to build a base from.

Spoiler

These dropped plenty of maps... that's not the issue for me anyway. The issue is that from these only a single map of the same level dropped and everything else was significantly lower. I genuinely dont know what else I could do to fix or change that. I'm certainly open to suggestions. I'd much rather listen and learn and start swimming in maps than carry on "doing it wrong" which is a phrase that gets thrown about all too often on here.

sooo.. Genuine question... what should I change? (I'm into the 80's in Atlas percent)

Is op running maps white and unchiseled?I'm swimming in red maps this patch!
I'm not swimming in red maps, but they do seem to be rather common. It helps to have a Zana. After a daily she sells 1 - 3 red maps (at level 8).
Selling 3 lower tier maps for the next higher tier is also a method to get access to red maps.
Vaaling a map can result in a map a tier higher.
Running tier 10 maps alched or blue with mods that allow for the atlas bonus to work (i.e. more magic monsters/ rare monsters/ twinned/ beyond/ exiles) might also help.

And then there are the people who are just unlucky and it sucks - but this is the time when you should start either trading or grinding or joining parties who do higher tier maps.

Its always the same people on these forums having issues that no one else ever has and honestly its comical.

I'm 65/125 and currently i have only one 1 T11 and 2 T12. And i'm running with 250% IIR - if i'm running without MF - i cant even sustain T9-T10.

Diablo 3 sucks, but at least it provides some kind of challenge in the end game. Here you just have to grind for hours to get minutes of real challenge.

Of course i'm always alching and sometimes chisel my maps.

You should learn how MF works. IIR doesn't have ANYTHING to do with maps. IIQ only affects map drops if you're talking about IIQ rolled on maps. IIQ on your gear doesn't affect map drops... at all. Zero.

Lol. Stop being so entitled.

Path of Exile: The only game where people think access to on-level content is a privilege.

That's an absurd comment. The game is not designed for that at all. This should be obvious to you since there are many character levels for which there is no zone of the same level.

You are stuck in a simple minded way of thinking that if the zone level you are in is not numerically the same as your character level it means something is wrong.

It's a completely silly way of thinking because it presumes a linear relationship between zone level progression and character level progression with respect to challenge and reward. Yet no such relationship exists, hence you are making a false critic of the situation.

Yep. Its why they changed it from map levels to tiers and yet people still don't get it.

IIR increases the drop rate of UNID maps. in the case of magic maps who cares, id and alch it
if its a good tier. but unid rares? cha ching.

if your strong enough to clear maps comfortably with iir gear on you can probably handle most
mods anyway. so the odds of a lethal map ending mod rolling are lowish.

one could argue that the one time you get a lethal mod in a unid rare, negates the other few unid
rares you successfully ran... I can see that but IIR does influence map drops after the fact.
not in this map, but the next.

Currently playing with lots of maps, like last league. I certainly fought more bosses and have more red maps but the feeling of scarcity is the same. Hit 91 with low tier maps and spent currency gearing up with no means to buy more reds. 96/125 is a shame not to push through at least 100. But the cost of red maps and the unique ones are spiraling by day and its not even a month after the league started.
