Gaming Mouse
" This just frankly isn't true. Having a highly accurate, flawless driver, with decent (higher isn't always better) CPI, with a braided none resistant cord, weight control, and of course comfortably are very important features. Especially if you are trying to game for extensive periods of time. Button angles, macro software, materials are all dependent on price tag. All of this can improve your experience while playing, having extra buttons with good placement and excellent drivers will make you an actual better gamer if used properly. So will having a good CPI accuracy. Just like buying a fancy car WILL allow you to be a better "racer" then your 4 door van. Of course there is going to be over priced gimmicky mice hyped up for gamers. Some mice though are just frankly amazing. I am looking at you G5. Currently I am using a Roccat Kone+. Decent software and drivers. Materials I would give a B-. Cord is a D, it is somewhat resistant and not braided. Buttons/placement and macros I would give an A+. I have used it for 3 years this October and works perfectly and is likewise condition. (Side note I have bought other Roccat items, they were cheap I would only recommend this model of mouse and encourage you to stay away from their other products) You know it takes to farm? It takes BRASS BALLS to farm items and currency. Go and do likewise gents. Currency is out there. You pick it up, it's yours. You don't, I got no sympathy for you. " By the moment I've got my first device with braided cord, I'll never again buy anything (PC related that is) without it. I mean, seriously. How many times I had to record my mouses, because their cord broke - in the same, old spot we all know. 5+ years so far (I think D:) with my braided cord mouse, and I never ever had any problems with it. Also, can't agree more on these gimmicky, overprices stuff, that usually don't live up to its price. But still, if you are getting what you are paying for, it is in most cases worth to drop some extra money, for sake of tranquillity. :D Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance.

Been using my Razer Naga i originally got for WoW years ago. I think its been 6 years now and it still functions fine, i like it for the extra buttons at my thumb. Extra buttons help in many games and its quicker than key presses.
You can also use it for macros in other programs like photoshop and such, probably the best $80 ive ever spent. Harvest sucks! But look at my decked out gear two weeks in!

I use this at work and home. I tried a mouse without the side numbers and I just can't do it anymore. I rely on them too much.

I've always liked small mice without a lot of side buttons. Simple and easy to move around.
I used to play a lot of starcraft BW and SC2 as well so I wanted something responsive without a lot of annoying buttons and trinkets all over it since all of my important actions were bound to the keyboard anyways. When I hold my mouse I leave my palm hovering over with just my fingertips holding on. I control the mouse by using only my fingertips, my palm stays in the same position and acts as a "stop" for my wider movements when I flick it around. I use a very high mouse sensitivity. If this position sounds familiar to you, then I'd recommend some of the average sized ttesports mice which is what I use. http://www.ttesports.com/productlist.aspx?c=1 The Saphira is my favorite model. If u have big hands I can recommend Anker mice.
![]() using that one since ~1 year after searching for a cheap and reliable gaming mouse aswell. Only downside of that one is the "quality" of the thumb buttons, but it's more than ok if u look at the price of the mouse. The Software is very easy to configure and powerful, too. http://www.ianker.com/product/98ANDS2368-BA Last edited by Sadaukar#2191 on Aug 25, 2015, 4:39:49 PM

" I've been using one of those for the last 2(?) years; although it's too short for my hand and I can only use the top 6 thumb buttons pain free. Gaming as a lefty sucks; having giant hands sucks just makes it worse. My only choices are two left handed models from Razer. That mouse which is too short; or one of their more conventional 5 button mice which is a good length but on the narrow side. I use one of the latter at the office. My biggest long term worry is that Razer didn't sell enough of the first model to cover their R&D + fixed manufacturing setup costs. The second one was only launched for a combination of PR reasons and because their CEO games left handed. That has me worried that at some point following a leadership change I might not be able to get replacements as needed; and I can't use a non ergonomic mouse even for office work. Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, weighing all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful? |
