Why were you attracted to Path of Exile?

skill tree o.O
and also seems like an interesting arpg(mmo)
The dark and foreboding graphic style plus the play style of the game and the Witch.

always been a big RPG guy played most RPG none of playstation consoles tho i like everything im seeing with PoE looking forward to playing it beta or not i can wait for full game or open beta
Close to diablo but not clone, and i like the graphic outfit more than coming diablo 3.
What happens atleast once in 60 minutes?

Ingame, forums, irc:

"Nyydia: Brb getting coffee"
the look,
atmosphere,
darkness,
skill tree,
classes,
witch,
skill system,
sockets,
no gold,
similarity to diablo2.

those where the first things i noticed
a game that looks more diablo 2 like then diablo 3, need i say more :P
22/m/pa looking for friends haha
if beta wont come to me then i will come to it!
The two prime things that draws me to this game is it's atmosphere and the skill system.
I am interested in cause i like the dark fantasy theme and the ingame videos looked great. But i am actually a bit sceptical about the free to play concept. So far all the free to play games which i have played wheren´t good at all.
I like action RPGs, and just happened to come across a screenshot for this game on 4chan, of all places (dont hate me!)
But after watching videos and streams of it and learning more about it... omg:
-the talent tree makes me drool
-skill gems and how they work
-gem sockets and how those work too
-all of it together to allow great player individuality
-it actually looks challenging in a lot of areas

Those are the main things that pretty much hooked me, but other areas were all just frosting on a cake for me:
-I like the visual direction, and overall atmosphere and ambiance
-I like all of the character classes, cant wait for the 6th
-its free-to-play with micro payments for aesthetic things or the ability to set up your own league type (love it)
-the depth of the item crafting/modifying system is awesome

All I have right now, its a damn good looking and fun game.

OH! and in a video I was watching someone go through The Weaver's Chamber, and along the floor texture there were very tiny little bugs crawling and zipping around. This is a little thing that has no big impact on the game at all, but it adds character to that dungeon, and I LOVE little things like that. If I cant get into an RPG and the scenery its trying to show me, whats the point?

Seems the general consensus here is that people all here enjoyed the Diablo series and hate what blizzard is doing with Diablo 3.

Not hate, but concerned with yes. I'm still 50:50 on D3 but this has many things I'm looking for. I enjoyed D2 but it was often a matter of how fast can I do X. From the clips I've seen, this looks like it has a much more survivalist where the trick is surviving, not just doing X quickly.

Also, I'm looking for something that I can turn out the lights and really get into the atmosphere of the game. I may enjoy playing D3 but it won't be that game, PoE looks like it may be.

Skills system also looks the most intriguing of the upcoming arpgs.
