Why were you attracted to Path of Exile?

I heard the interview on Dopelive's YouTube channel, then re-watched a bunch of first look vids.

I've been waiting a long time for a dev to take the "moral" approach to this business model. It should take all the remorse out of buying virtual assets. The $___ I spent on other games felt like an inverse job; paying to work for hours at higher efficiency... what a jip!

Thanks for taking the high road GGG!
This is just the type of game i love, i know i'll be stuck for hours and hours and hours. Holding my thumbs for the beta.

Looks like the perfect, jump in and play game. Not too complicated, just pure fun.
Well the first thing i saw from the first video i was ever linked to was the passive skill tree it was glorious and i love the whole dungeon crawl games in general i really liked that it was taking on a much darker theme then others in this genera. I like Fate and Torchlight for when my three year old is running around but it will be nice to have something that i can bath in it`s glow once the sun sets.
Totalbiscuit sent me, stayed for the story and gameplay ( and hell, its FREE) :D

I followed a PA link (I'll click on just about anything that says "Diablo clone").
I was hooked as soon as I saw the FFVII skill system and FFX passive system. What I've seen of the community and the approach the devs are taking to the beta process just makes me that much more attached to the game.
i mostly follow every game that is being released.
tried quite a few diablo clones since diablo 2 lod.
nothing came close. some were quite good, but most were just garbage.
so stumbled on PoE and i really liked this old graphic style (while being a quality 3d) and it didnt seem to have overly stiff combat style.

since im now a beta tester id say the game met my expectations. tho id say its even more complicated than i thought when i saw that passive skill 'jungle'.
loads of stuff.
Im just worried if enough people will play PoE.
I love PoE,the graphics, the skill system (amazing) and hate same things in D3 (blizz makes everything as simple and as dumb as possible).

I hope some die hard d2 fans can have their eyes open and see that PoE is what they were waiting for not d3.

I agree with this comment. The skill and combat system seem to be interesting. I discovered the game on a forum discussion and I started to watch some video. The thing that make me like the game it’s the mature content and the particular art design that make an environment very oppressive and creepy . I like it!

The first move that I watched was the Templar trailer. The idea is really excellent. An exile man with some vision of the end, trying to earn a kind of redemption of bygone days, comes through the path. At the edge of the madness, the only thing that makes him to hold out it’s his faith in his god.

I’m really sensitive to these kinds of details; they create a good environment and a really good immersion.

Totalbiscuit's video brought me here. Why I'm staying is because I'm probably going to end up not buying diablo 3 so this seems like a good substitute.

Plus it's dark, VERY DARK.
The Templar trailer! looked like a single player story for a awesome game! wich it is! then the ambience, that dark feeling thats theres no way but to fight till your last breath. Simply Awesome.
