3 Years and still no trade system....

I'm very tired of this pseudo trade system we have right now, spamming trade chat or snipe poe trade..There is a thing to consider is that im gattering way to much currency playing trade tycoon than the actual game. Not sure what is worse if the trade system, or the heavy amount of worthless uniques that makes mapping a waste of time in most cases.
Not sure how this game survived that much whit this trade chat stream spam nightmare..

Auction House script users aren't the same as using a script while you play PoE or any other game. When you have a centralized database of items code-savvy people can run trading bots to buy up items automatically, relist, etc.

Here's a pretty well-known story for what I'm talking about: http://diablo3story.blogspot.ca/2014/07/a-diablo-3-story.html

That was an interesting read, thanks for posting the link.

Reading what the guy did though gives me an idea for a possible non-harmful yet convenient auction system in PoE. From what I read, his whole operation was based on finding and buying undervalued items. So... just as a botter can write a script so can actual PoE players as we've already seen with the new loot filters. The idea would be that you load up your pricing script of choice, drop your items in the auction stash and let the script put recommended prices on everything. Then you can adjust from there or change the price to GCP's or whatever, or simply go ahead with the listing.

Or load up ZiggyD's Sweet Price Finder instead of Hegey's Edgy Price Picker if you prefer. Then everybody's on pretty much the same page for pricing and there's no fat profits to be made for botters and very little scamming goes on. You can always edit your script or update to the latest forum approved script if you start to feel that some prices look out of line so the system stays current without GGG having to do a thing.

Such a pricing script would also be handy even for people just wondering if their latest find is something special or just another piece of vendor trash.

Personally I think most of the trade system sucks....I wish they would just let us vendor up to a exalted so we can stabilize the prices and have one currency to screw around with. All these pricks trying to jack up the prices on currencies is just a joke...the fluctuation I have seen in just two weeks is mind boggling.

I blame anti-D3 purists. I wouldn't mind a action house(of course not with real money). How much different is using a site like poe.xyz (or whatever people use nowadays, I never trade) really?

Gonna keep playing self-found and probably get bored again from hitting a gear wall. Already close at that point lvl 76 but still dieing occasionally from opening lvl 67 rare lockboxes. Getting really bored of dried lake farming but I think I'm not ready yet for mapping. Except maybe if use cloak of flame as body armor which seems kinda lame for a lightning tendrils crit build :s.

AH was ahead of its time. Dont understand people who were against it. Safe. Could actually profit from playing a game. And casuals could be happy face rolling 1-2 hrs a week they have time to play.

IMO is 5-10 years all looty games will have one unless Feds were behind shutting them down. Taxes and all.

If I could simply trade asynchronously via forums, I'd be happy.

Do we have that yet?
I'd like an AH accompanied by a trade limit. You can only make 5 trades in a 24hr period. This makes people more likely to only trade for things they need instead of just trading for profit and stops auto buy bots.
if they don't want to do AH they could create some kind of trade hub where you can make a shop and players click on your character to view the items to buy.

seriously something has got to be done about the trading, it's just so awful.

How would you make something like that searchable though? The idea of clicking on random peoples shops and looking at random items hoping to find what you need sounds like a step backwards from what we have now.

We're so used to poe.trade now that just about anything GGG can implement at this point would probably fall short.

And then you'd have something ELSE to get your knickers in a knot about, 'Godly'.
