We gotta do something about the state of trading.

How in a RNG based Game someone wants all the stuff conveniantly available all the time is beyond me..

It should be hard to get the stuff. Only then one will get the feeling of accomplishment. Look at D3 for christs sake, didn't you play that? It was awefull. Halfe the time spent in the AH looking for an upgrade, no thanks.

The moment i feel it's easyer to browse Tradeforum then actually play the game it wont be long before the fun is over.

A revamp of the grouping and noticeboard systems would be very effective for this problem. Someone creates a public group notice, designated or titled something related to "Trades", people join their instance of town immediately, and are then able to use local chat to barter and go from player to player to stash, haggling/negotiating/trading/whatever.

The Trade Channel could use some filters, too. Allowing users to segregate item links that show up based on their levels could alleviate a lot of the unwanted spam.

Separating the global and trade chats, and resizing their windows would also allow easier use of the trade channel without silencing other chats. Not essential, but surely helpful, especially if the aforementioned item-level segregation would be implemented.

Edit - the illustrated suggestion several posts back is also a fantastic idea.

The problem now, is it's obtuse. I hid a road block, and can't easily advance. I can party up and risk all my loot to slowly gain levels. I can party up and try to advance anyhow, with someone else to tank, or, what I prefer: buy a badass item, put it on, kill stuff better, by myself.
I want to spend my money, and sell the stuff I have for a couple chroms, chance, alch, chaos, whatever it's worth. But it's hard: no one wants to see the shitty twink gear. And other stuff, I have to keep on posting and spamming trade chat and not selling: that's ineffective.

But saying better trading will make the game crappy like D3 is ridiculous. Right now, it's hard to find upgrades based on the state of trading, and it sounds like the majority would like to see that improved.

It doesn't mean you'll have to use it, at all.

I think it would be awesome if they just divided trade chat into levels (10-20 30-40 etc) and also into buyers and sellers. being a low level and wanting to sell/buy is horrid because there's so many high level items.
