I'm hardly trying to simulate the economy here.

Your pessimism about the game seems to render you unable to grasp that someone can play it smart while at the same time keeping a cool head about sometimes seemingly unfair RNG without accusing GGG of it being "how they want you to play."

Besides, if you wanna bitch about RNG, try playing GW2 where you need to buy lockboxes and hope for a voucher to exchange for ONE item skin.

At least everything in this game is free.

It just requires time to get what you want.

RMT isn't such a big issue if you develop some patience and you drop this silly notion that you have to keep up with everyone item wise

but the way you allow yourself to speak of "end game" when you haven't yet experienced its full clusterfucking-RNG glory, claim "It just requires time to get what you want", and try "teaching" me how to "keep a cool head" - lead me to believe one of the following:

• this is your alternate account, where the main one is playing since before release at least, and/or has multiple high-level characters, and/or a ton of orbs.
• you are arrogant as fuck.
• both of the above.

so, which option is it?

and honestly, I don't see how comparing bad PoE mechanics to even worse (and/or P2W) mechanics from other games, has to do with anything.

I know what I like and what I don't like.

Just because I haven't reached endgame doesn't mean i'm not fully knowledgeable about what will be there. RNG is RNG regardless of the game in question.

And none of what's there at the end of this game, really bothers me.

Will I get irritated sometimes? Sure.
Annoyed? Just like any game.
I'm not ignorant and naive. PoE is far from perfect.

But will I develop a pessimistic view towards the game and it's developers and proceed to spread equally pessimistic ideas around the forums because of it?

There's literally NO reason for you to be in such a hurry to get the maps, the drops, the currency, what have you. There is no race. You can not lose.

I would argue you are, seeing as how you clearly believe that reaching endgame of PoE somehow impacts one's understanding of RANDOM as if random somehow works differently in PoE.

Like I said, RNG is RNG regardless of where it is in any game.
