for once, I'd like GGG to implement the option to show amount of time spent in-game, on the profile page.
time spent, # of characters that beat the story game for each league, # of distinct builds used, # of maps run, # of distinct content (including Vaal) areas fully explored, # or "RIP bosses" beaten, solo ...

"develop a pessimistic view"?
depends just how bad you're going to get screwed.
I may be an extreme example, but I can tell you right now: unless you are just mind-blowingly lucky, extremely good at bypassing RNG via trade (or RMT), or both - you are going to get fucking screwed so bad, you probably won't stick around here half as long as I have.

it takes quite a bit of nerve to speak of something you have no idea of, and even greater nerve to repeat it after you've been "hinted" to stop.

and it takes that arrogance mixed with stupidity, to say "RNG is RNG" - when you probably have no idea what the fuck RNG is.
knowing, makes one even more pessimistic.
many people in this game - including ones who played a hell of a lot more than you have - don't realize, excess-RNG zero-risk/reward doesn't suddenly turn "good" when they get rewarded.
it's still random, still "evil", and still doesn't give a rat's ass about what they have accomplished in game.

Yes i am assuming you are new to the game, and don't yet fully understand the full extend of it's problems.

Not that i personally mind those problems. But it is fun to see you defend it know, like i said, i will give it a year like all the people that preceded you with your attitude :).

Time spent in game, areas explored, maps run.....what does that have to do with anything? I like the game. I'll put in just as much time as you because I do. When will I stop? Cuz of RNG? nah.

Cuz I'll get bored or because there's something else I wanna play.

You may be trying to illustrate the fact that you're not in a hurry, but I'm still only seeing you whine about not getting what you want.

What is screwed? Not getting a drop? That ties in with the irritation I mentioned in my last post. I'll feel it too. I have no doubt.

As for RNG......it means random.

You're implying that RANDOM is somehow different in PoE.

The only way it might be different is that it might be more of a factor. Again, something I don't really mind.

It is and never will be something that will fill me with such spirited rage as to come on the forums and whine.

So quit calling me arrogant. As I said, I know what I like and what I don't like.

RNG as it applies to PoE sits nestled right in between. Sometimes I'll love it. Sometimes i'll hate it.

But not like you hate it.

I'm not a troll.

I'm simply saying that I know what's there and I don't need to have played through it to know that it won't bother me THIS much.

Now i'm sorry for making those earlier assumptions but in the context of me trying to convince john that I don't need to see endgame to know it won't bother me, your post didn't leave me much to go on as far as understanding what you meant.

For the record in a year i'll have the same mindset, assuming those isues still exist

Come on it's quite obvious you are completely different types of gamers so you'll never come to an agreement.

On one hand you have a semi-casual who plays for the enjoyment when he feels like it. Completing the game or a build is obviously not a priority if the game isn't providing enjoyment at the same time.

Then there's the hardcores who have beaten all the easy content many times over, frustrated with the progression as you approach the final content which is the true goal for these guys.
