RMT Wins. Fatality!

1. This thread has finely helped me to figure out that RMT must stand for Real Money Trade.

2. PoE is the first online game I've played and so most of my time here was all self found with some freebies infrequently tossed my way by a friend.

3. After I discovered poe.xyz.is then I started to trade for the first time. Trading is almost required in this game. Or at least it helps a lot. My opinion is that trading without poe.xyz.is is mostly a waste of time.

4. GGG has more invested in the success of this game than ANYBODY that is just gaming. You will just have to trust that they will do what they think is best for the game. People implying otherwise should really get a grip. Let me repeat that, GGG has more invested in the success of this game than ANYBODY.

I recently contacted GGG about a player that was RMTing. I gave them some pretty conclusive evidence, and all they did was lock the account for like 1-2 days and tell the player that they were watching the account. Of course the player is not going to RMT on that account anymore now that GGG warned him. He is currently working on unloading all his RMT gear (6L shavs, crown of eyes, 6L voltaxic, kaoms heart, etc...) to a different account/ guild stash. I really wish GGG would permaban these people and take some hard action.

I dont mind standard go P2W. nobody cares anyway. People call the league dumpster or scrubcore or whatever. As long as hardcore/new leagues stay not P2W (directly from GGG), its fine.

The problem is, i prefer getting one more job(yea im not rich) to pay the item i want. I farmed like a mofo, and its kind of late that i realize how stupid that is.

Overall, poe is a great game, lots of skills/build to try. but when it come to chasing items, it would be lovely that i can buy item directly from GGG.

Why you bother care about other's wealth?

Why dont you focus on your work, farm harder and steal money from those RMT'er by flipping(in case if they did exist, they still need to trade right).

Dont you dare do RMT? It will be no more fun and joy of playing this ourselves if our playstyle become realmonay-based rite? The way wealthy you are in real life, the richer you get in game? Its driving u bored soon enough since as long as u put real money on, you gain everything. What the point of gaining everything without fighting hard, do your best, prove yourself even once to get it ?


Im once a RMT'er in Facebook apps Yugi-Oh until i realized i contributed hell lot lof real money for nothing, a virtual pleasure that not worth it, game become lame when people not fighting by their own, they are fighting by their wallet and only the dev get wealthier. I quitted.


So when i joined POE I decided I will never RMT, even when I contributed 700$+ for MTX+stash, but not even a single buck for RMT, im really enjoying this feeling atm and so far for sure.

RMT or not is actually not the real problem. The thing is how you enjoy your game.

If RMT'er enjoy their virtual wealth by their real money, wow, why dont you welcome them?

Lol wut? Its fine to pay to win because its their money so just let em? Why play then? Incase you didnt know none of that rmt money goes to GGG, it goes to people that bot the game and sell the items/currency.

And then theirs the whole economy thing, inflation is a big problem in almost every game ive known where people that have large amounts of wealth have also some degree of control over the market, pushing their prices higher and higher, thats how they get richer and richer.

How to get rich IRL:

1 Make an addictive free to play MO game
2 Get some player base
3 Shadow a third-party online item-selling site
4 Press macro "create op item"
5 Sell op item via site for Real $$$
6 Repeat till you cba to press macro button yourself and can hire someone else who does that for you
