Played D3:RoS since release till now, heres the results!

just a few of many good points of ros is it feels rewarding, no matter if on an casual level or beyond.

even crafting feels rewarding... not always but in the end you get often what you need, on the other hand poe felt completely the opposite to me, it was always extremely time consuming with almost or mostly very underwhelming results.

while your personal effort controls your progress and success in ros, its your wealth which decides in poe how fast and how far you're able to proceed with your char

this game felt more like a lottery simulator in an arpg pelt than anything else to me.

dunno what kind of results or conclusions were yet made in this thread, but if you're into arpgs in the usual sense of the word poe is totally something else so comparing such a bingo game to an overall very good arpg like d3/ros is pure ignorance imho :)

of course this game had its pro's some time ago but it feels now more like a ship without a captain and without a sea chart, its neither fish nor fowl and it wont appreciate everyones time equally while (and say whatever you want) ros in fact does.

Appreciates everyone's time equally? Seriously? RoS can leave you without whatever it is you're looking for indefinitely. This isn't possible in PoE since one can trade. BoA was one of the worst possible things they could do.

RNG is no different in RoS when it comes to crafting. Stats are random, getting the mats is random, there is no guarantee. The amount of complaints about BoA, their rifts, welfare legendaries, etc. Are nearly endless.

The game has its good points. But when it comes down to crafting, it's no better.

Obviously, you don't have RoS and haven't done any crafting in RoS.
Remember when I won a screenshot contest and made everyone butt-hurt? Pepperidge Farm remembers.

Wrong. I have. You pick one mod to replace. The replacement is random. You get 2 optional choices. Those choices can be the same stat, including the #. On some items, like sources, there's a multitude of different affixes. Each failed craft makes the next one more expensive. Unless it's an ammy/ring. Those are modded with imperial gems.

If you wish to craft a leg/set, you gotta farm the mats. Those drop randomly from certain enemies. Most people menu farm for certain bounties. Those bounties are random too. And when you do get the mat, many of the items have all random stats. So you better farm a ton of mats.

No BoA is the best thing they could have done. Yeah sure you CAN look for something indedinitely, but that is incredibly unlikey. You can look for a trade indefinetly aswell.

Just because its random doesnt mean its no different. It is extremly ignorant to say that 1:10 odds are exactlt the same as 1:1000 just because its random.
Stats are also tailored to your class.

The crafting materials have like 75% drop chance on T6 and drop from specific namned mobs. Just as random as finding an exalt, right?

Just as endless about the complaints of PoE. What is your point? That people complain alot? Wow, amazing.

The crafting is infinitely more rewarding in D3. In PoE you do best not to craft at all unless you are the top 1% because the odds are so heavily stacked against you. Its almost always best just to trade.
By the time you have found 1 exalt you can have farmed 1000 crafting mats easily. And every crafting mat has a much higher chance of giving you what you are looking for than the exalt.

Biggest load of BS. I can only assume you haven't played RoS. Further, why would someone whose running T6 be looking for crafting mats in the first place? Drop that % down to what 40? And even then, guess what, you're menu farming bounties to get the monster anyways.

It's about as much fun as zone farming for fragments. Which sucks. Both games failed miserably in that regard. Enter, escape, enter, escape. Can't believe both teams fell for that.

75% instead of 40% is the biggest load of bullshit you have ever seen? Lol.
Well, the 75% is pretty accurate anyways

Killing a single boss is not the same as running rifts efficiently, so you can run T6 and push it to get a higher drop rate.

I agree that menu farming is stupid.

Btw, I have played hundreds of hours of RoS and I have crafted alot. You can craft a good set in an evening, easily. Its infinetly more rewarding than the slot machines they call crafting in PoE.

What do you do with old gear that is slightly worse than gear you craft? Does it just get thrown away?
