I think changing the Game just because RMT exists is a bad move.

Making the game not cater and push towards RMT in the first place, is the point here. The whole exalts and eternals situation is an abomination.

I think you are trying to look at the rooftop's view from the first floor.

Isn't that pretty much what Blizzard did with the RMAH?

Hm.

Have fun with my sloppy seconds. Syk0tic feels this topic has run its course and I'm inclined to agree, although I think some of the stuff I've said in here will go towards another Charan-Rant before long. I'm thinking about houses, renovation and moving. We'll see...

Sorry, but I am not sure I get what your point was in this particular post.

Making better droprates wont exterminate RMT. There are always those who want their Items faster than the game can provide.

And I don't have anything against upping some of the droprates. For example, I think, for the limited use it provides, the exalted orb should be one of the more common orbs.

My point regarding changes because of RMT were more in the line of 'extreme' game changes like Binding Items to the Account etc.

The most annoying thing for me is the fact that they will modify jewelers/fusing chances , which i dont want to. Game is already easy as it is , changing the chances so it will be easier to get 6l would ruin everything. So much qq on these forums about fusing drives me crazy.

Dude, it will bring it down bigtime. As it is now, RMT is too rampant and the game's model is the reason for it.

RMT existed in D2, right? Like, massively.

So what did Blizzard do in response? They changed the Game (as in, the Diablo model) so that they'd get their cut of the sweet deal. Every sweet deal. Itemisation changed as a result, which anyone should agree is a large enough factor in an ARPG as to be game-changing.

That's the point of my post.

The rest is just musing, and the beginnings of a PoE-related metaphor. Like gardening, maybe. Something your new friend missed with what now appears to be a disinclination for abstract expression and interpretation. Like I said: have fun with that.

I'm out. :)
If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period.

But that is just an assumption.

Who knows the point at what people stop using RMT.

It is not just an assumption, it is a logical one. Why would I want to rmt if I can actually find items of value? If I can actually gear and craft myself towards an endgame build? Not everyone makes charan money. Plus I never said stop, again reduce.

That's what I go from your post, but the musings etc. caught me off-guard. :P

Btw. I send you a PM and tried myself on a Haiku. Did I succeed?
