I play RoS every week. I get a legendary approximately every 45 minutes to an hour though I sometimes go 2 hours without one. If you are getting 3-6 legs an hour then not only am I playing a completely different game, everyone else on the D3 forums is as well...

Before i got stuck with a crappy laptop i mostly played on T4 and used Sprint with forced march and the belt that gives 40% movement speed to war cry. So if you actually try you can increase your drops significantly.

Still, I find it ridicoulus that you think that the drop rates are about the same.
Have you ever tried playing poe without trading? It is a nightmare, grind that is worse than any korean mmo

Um, here's my personal experience.
1. I play PoE for 4 hours. I pick up 2-3 uniques and 2-3 rare items as well as orbs, quality skill gems, and various other recipe items.
2. I play D3 for 4 hours. I pick up 4-6 legendaries.

This is why I prefer PoE.
I prefer PoE but RoS is solid.

Don't forget to drink your milk 👌

People complain that there are legs that are glorified rares, yet they praise that rares are BiS in PoE. That doesnt make much sense to me.

It doesn't?
Seriously?

So a system where uniques are unique but rares can roll stronger is the same thing as a system where legendaries are the same as rares, but almost always stronger?

You don't understand that there's a difference? Or you don't understand how someone could prefer one over the other?

The end result is exactly the same, you only have different labels on the items. There are PLENTY of legs that are as special as uniques are. Just call those "uniques" and call the "glorified rares" "rares" and you have the same system, just a whole lot less of worthless yellow loot to examine.

I have played hundreds of hours of PoE and I have never found anything that is close to BiS. All gear I use I have traded for. Sure, it drops lots of uniques, but 90% of it is low level vendor trash, and 9.9% of it is high level vendor trash. 0.1% of it highly situationally useful vendor trash.

Okay, I see where we differ now. You don't like looking at items to see if they are an upgrade. You only want to do that 1-2 times an hour. Meanwhile I love looking at different items to see if they are an upgrade.

Makes sense now!

Looking at rare items lost its excitment on the 10,000th vendor trash.
Way to completely ignore the point!

Legendary items in D3 can be salvaged for Forgotten Souls, which are basically improved Chaos Orbs.

Yeah, Forgotten souls are constantly in high demand for me as I craft and reroll lots of stuff. So it's abit silly to complain about bad legs while praising currency drops :p
If you love pimping up your Diablo 3 characters with legendary stuff, then that is perfectly fine.

POE 2 is designed primarily for console.
I'll give RoS 4 things going for it:
  • Drop rates feel pretty damn good rarity wise.
  • With the mystic involved crafting what you want is actually possible, if not always easy.
  • No time spent trading on the travesty that was the AH means more time spent playing the game itself.
  • No desyncing, well optimised, looks amazing etc.

This is all however completely ruined due to the continued cold hard truth: In a game where entirely all of your characters damage, health and ability comes from items, the itemisation is FUCKING SHITTY.

I'd love for PoE to learn from those first 4 things though! They did a lot to improve on D3. It's just a shame they couldn't do anything about the items being all boring and worthless. Uniques that are just rares with higher stats being the majority is disgusting.
