Has GGG given official word on if they'll fix desync?

Separate the gateways, that's all I ask.

50 ms ping on europe
200 ms ping on america
350 ms ping on australia

It's just that easy! I don't understand why GGG wants to be different on this. Every other game allows me to chose the closest server and I'll be for sure playing on that server, not on a randomly global server whenever the game feels like :(

It's at the point where it's too annoying to hit my /oos every 3 seconds just to hit something that was secretly on the opposite side of me completely or in another room, or when monsters are pouring out of an opening to rush me, except they aren't actually there and I'm wasting my time attacking clientside monsters while they're meandering around off-screen in reality.

It currently appears as if they're completely ignoring it to me, I hope this isn't true, is there anyone who has some word from a GGG employee about it?

Desync is completely fixed. The only thing that breaks it now is if someone on your server types /oos which resets all the correction code and causes desync for another player.

If a solo player plays in the Dark Woods and noone is around to /oos, does he still desync?

These are the type of people GGG has catered the game around and too... Look at all those "pretty titles", he must be right.

And you wonder why most the shit in the game is completely broken at a fundamental level...

Because even now, 4 years later, you still get people like this guy saying things like this...

Whereas before hand it was, "Wait til release it'll be fixed, they're working on it"...

And now it's, "There is no desync, I don't desync, desync is fixed, desync can't be fixed play different, etc, etc"...

The best part is that they wanted it this way.

so guess gotta play with this crap

or not play at all

why bother complaining if you don't even like the game to begin with?

I for one really fucking hate the level of desync and resync we have to suffer, but I'm also sort of glad that I can join a race safe in the knowledge no one's hacked the game to win it. The severity of the server's domination over the client is what makes that possible.

I kind of agree, but they aren't able to prevent basic maphacks so I'm already accepting that there is cheating going on while I play this game. I find little solace in knowing that someone is maphacking but at least not speedhacking.
