Has GGG given official word on if they'll fix desync?

I'm sure its been asked but why can't the game just /oos every 3-5 seconds or something?

That's actually rather pathetic...

Kinda makes sense now though.

The servers wouldn't be able to handle it. It also would result in a rather unpleasant game experience. It'd be rather jerky and with a lot of rubberbanding.

If I won the lottery I would totally buy them some awesome servers. Now to win the lottery...

I will live with dsync if it keeps the hackers and dupers away.

games are more fun if theyre competitive. games like this are fun and interesting because of the economy, hacking/duping would destroy that.

and ggg says they are hardcore gamers.
"fun" carebear mentality can go fuck itself.

1. Hate to break it to you but "desync" doesn't keep any of the hackers away.
2. I thought games were fun because of the gameplay. The kids these days are more interested in trade sims, I guess. Too bad you never enjoyed D2, that was a fun ARPG. Definitely not suited for you.
3. AT least you come right out and say "fun" games are shit. Kudos to you for being honest.

1. You know what i mean, if it was clientside it would be a cesspool
2. I play then I trade some stuff that I find. I grew up playing D2, I'm in my late 20s but nice try. Once people started duping I lost all interest in D2. I remember it was carrion song was the duped bow. The dupes defeated the point of playing. Please go play street fighter or something if all you care about is gameplay.
3. This stuff is fun for me. Again, go play street fighter. Or even go play diablo 3 with all the other simple carebears. The auction house is gone, everything is bind on account so you dont have to worry about how awful trading is. And honestly the gameplay is better and more "fun" than POE.

and in D3 they changed itemization so you basically just stack mainstat and vitality now. and you can respec as much as you want. You wont have to worry about complex itemization or character creation getting in the way of your "fun"

Your words would be true if there was complex itemization and character creation in PoE, it's a shame that at the moment it just boils down to get defensive nodes, get resistance+es/life on items.

really? because looking at the witch forum i see good build diversity. culler, support auras, fireball, life vs chaos inoculation on and on it goes. too much to list really.

I am just getting into POE but from what i can see so far, D3 is a joke compared to this.
Please don't make an automated /oos every few seconds. I've been once in a large party and I was constantly being resynced thx to the vast amount of effects going at the same time that was triggering this re-sync. It was unplayable, contrary to popular belief! I was literally teleporting back in time every second there was an action, and I was meleeing, making it really sucky to the point I was never hitting anything. When I was already landing a hit, I was teleporting back. Couple that with playing on Australian servers when I'm on Europe and it's just plain impossible not to be annoyed by it!

The /oos is not the holy grail of sync. You go back in time when this is done and should be avoided.
