I'm a steam user BUT I don't have PoE on Steam.

Well, that makes perfect sense because not everyone uses Steam.

Just check the views on youtube or on sites still releasing their clicks if you don't believe Steam.

The /online command doesn't exist anymore.

Do you really believe there will be a huge jump? 20k players max I bet.
I'm a huge fan of the game but I haven't played it at all for the past 6 or so weeks. I usually burn myself out on the new leagues in the first two months and then I stop playing until the next leagues arrive. I guess a lot of people do the same thing and that's what the Steam numbers also represent.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

You havent even played in 6 weeks, yet are one of the biggest white knights on the forum. I think you just troll.

No, I just like to win in serious internet discussions.

Interesting.
It's common sense that there will be less players than when Nemesis was being released. 2 reason: Diablo, and back in Nemesis the game officially launched out of beta state.

I am assuming the slow decrease represents the "too grindy late game" which is why i dropped out.

Only 44% of all players using steam killed Brutus on normal difficulty.
17% finished Normal difficulty.
5.5% beat Cruel difficulty.

Source: Global Steam Achievements.

People quitting because of 'grindy endgame' are a minority. Not even 5% of the steam players even made it to 'endgame'.

How many times do we have to post this comment?

Enough players do use steam for the graph to be representative of the trend. You guys are saying that polls are not representative, unless they are done across the whole population.

It will be interesting to see the size of 1.1 jump

She cloaks the world
In impenetrable darkness
