AoE + Leech utterly buggered in 1.1

This will not be possible without very big hits now, no?

Which brings me to what I hate the most about this change: the big boys with their big toys doing tons of DPS (either via many hits or via bigger hits) will suffer the least.

The little guy struggling with his slow, wimpy hits will leech so little it won't be worth it for him to use the mechanic at all.

That "little guy" won't have reflect issues in the first place....

I really hope that one aoe attack will stack all the leech from that attack or my melee characters are screwed. It's going to be totems, summons and traps all over again.
summon power , you feeling it?

I am thinking my coc crit EK build that doesn't use vaal pact to survive just got a buff?

If I've understood the "multiple instances of life leech will not stack" part correctly, you are entirely mistaken. I also have a coc crit EK build without VP, by the way. On the other hand, VP now doesn't negate life flasks, so I guess we'll have to try it out and see how it works. I'll also try LgoH as an alternative.
You have to be realistic about these things.

Yeah but a crit EK is an extremely hard hit, that will most likely suffice to regen the damage taken if you already have a valid way to counter reflect without the use of vaal pact.

Spell users be damned!

those exist in this game? and not talking about pseudo CoC trash

They will after 1.1 hits.

Spell damage and elemental damage nodes are getting buffed.

Buffed dps + less ways to handle reflect =/= more spell casters :')

Spell casters had limited life leech before the patch. GGG is implementing equipment based elemental life leech on corrupted items.

They are also making the +2% max resist node more readily accessible to spell casters by moving the node to the templar/witch area.

I can see a fire based witch with EB+AA completely ignoring reflect.

Also, for AoE spells:

And CI physical/crit builds get hit harder, since LGoH doesn't work with it, you can't use flasks to take advantage from the change to VP and you won't even have enough armor/evasion, since pure ES gear is already pretty expensive, while good hybrid gear is out of the question for most people...

they probably dont want people to use CI and vaal pact together, theres a reason why they are both so far from each other, they complement each other way too well. the es passives are buffed besides

WUT?

Seriously, WUT?

CI Bow builds are already very difficult because

a) You give up potential ES from shield
b) Bow crit chance isn't high
c) It's extremely difficult to get good gear for your build (you want ES+Evade if you run IR or Dodge, or ES+Armor+Shitton of Resists)
d) You have an inherent weakness to stun and freeze.
e) Builds are benefited the most only by map-only uniques (Auxium, Voltaxic if you want)

If you add even more difficulty to this....

I guess the CI quiver will really be needed even more then. Talk about creating artificial demand.
7 life gained for each enemy hit with your spell will render reflect mute? you must be kidding :').

Of course people will adept to it but 1.1 was not a direct buff to spell casters.
