Like I said: I already know the answer. Even given RNG involvement it will be very very clear that D2 loot drops to time invested is head and tail better than POE. If I was so steadfast about a point (like you guys): I would put up. The fact is: I would be the one doing all the leg work. I would be putting in 50 hours, streaming, taking screen shots, in both games. And for what? To disprove your point... a point I already know the answer to. I'm not going to do all that work - 100 hours total of my life - AND pay for the game again. Not happening. [Removed by Admin] Last edited by Bex_GGG#0000 on Jan 25, 2014, 2:51:05 PM

Oh, and one final point. As a previous member of the D2 modding community, I already know exactly what the default drop rates are for D2. They are a LOT crappier than you think. There a reason that "drop mods" were a huge thing on open B.net amongst people who were okay with that kind of cheating, but not with outright using a hex editor to modify the gear on their character.
It's PoE's rates that I don't quite have pinned down yet. That has more to do with the fact that MoPaQ files (the main files that D2's engine pulled information from), and the simple spreadsheets contained therein made it extremely easy to find out anything we wanted to know about D2's inner workings...and then completely change them. |
