Regardind the Standard League and the Hardcore league

I play only in Standard.
Struggled through the begin of open beta, accumulated something like "wealth" and so I am trying new builds there.
I've tried to play Self Found Domination league. Got to lvl 60 with ST Scion, hit the gear wall, said "fuck this shit" cause I can't trade there with like 5 Chaos Orbs I farmed and quit.

Don't play HC leauges 'cause of the unpredictable damage spikes and desynch, but will try the new 4 month HC league. Probably will test something in next few days on Nemesis, for new HC league then.

Also I hate races. I got real life and can't stay on race schedule or farm for like 12 hours a day.
So the only league I can play is Standard and I like it, right now I can try different things out (only crafting and drops sucks, but ok, I can get over with).

So without Standard players like me are pretty much fucked...very nice treatment.

Also, how do you get a "kickstart" in a new league if you played the old one and sold or your stuff in Standard? You can transfer currency form Standard to new leagues?

i wonder if anyone realises that exalts in nemesis go for 30 chaos each whereas they go for 20 each in standard.

As it stands right now, you're looking at maybe 50k active players maximum, most likely more around 25-30k.

Actually, some prices in Standard has deflated after Release.

The most obvious one is the Chaos vs Ex.

Before release it was like 40 : 1 or something like that.

Now it's around 21 : 1

Fusing vs Ex also dropped, used to be 70-80 : 1, now it's around 35 : 1


Legacy items and good 6L chests & weapons are way more expensive of course.

6L chests probably have doubled in price after Release, but since the usualy way for players to get exalt orbs is selling farmed fusing and chaos into ex orbs, price is actually the same as before.

Legacy item is a special case though.

Oh, mirrors r worth 140ex... 6 months ago it was 1/4 the price...

So tired of seeing people like the OP say alt+f4 trivializes "hardcore". Pretty clear you haven't played D2HC or have much experience playing these kinds of leagues.

As far as playing in standard league, there's no way around it being a "garbage" or "legacy" league. Even if HC players didn't end up there, inflation and bots would slowly get it to that point inevitably. From my own understanding most players who play standard rather not start over and are accepting of this. Standard is fine the way it is.
