D3 vs Poe: Which has worse itemization?
" This is one of the biggest flaws in D3, especially for items. Because with that system the weapon damage becomes the single most important stat, overshadowing every other stat by far. Not a chance to take a weapon for the cool mods or utility stuff. If the damage doesnt fit, the weapon is rubbish no matter what. In PoE you can take a crit dagger because he has an awesome crit chance but can have terrible damage. still worth it. (as example. Of course, both would be better, but it is an option) And you have a wizard with a 2H axe who straps the axe on his back when he wants to find, still improving his damage. It is and looks ridiculous. |

POE is definitely better but it's still not what I consider good. Every desirable affix is just a bland ARPG staple. I wish that there was a wider variety of rolls that were useful, with a pool big enough that getting desirable synergies was difficult. Things like Reduced Attribute Requirements are just lazy.

Wow, such hostility in this thread. One thing D3 has up on PoE is the items aren't restricted by having to worry about sockets which means a random rare drop in principle has a much better chance to be useful in D3 (loot 2.0) than PoE, far less RNG checks not having to dick with sockets. PoE needs a currency that can apply the sockets, number - color - links, of one item to another to alleviate that problem a little bit.

" This is incorrect. Since there is no diversity in D3, that means everyone needs the same items and only a certain type. The sockets are negligible when looking for value in PoE. Most items only need 3-4 which is easy. There are different builds that require different items in PoE. This means that more items have value. |

loot 2.0 on d3 makes d3 itemization better than poe. They took poe's idea, expanded on it and improved it.

" Congrats man. You have realized that any game that you can pump more than a hundred hours into is super grindy. Sounds like you're wearing yourself out on these games. |

" Loot 2.0 is awful. It shortens the game and leaves you with even less to do late game. It's a blast when you start dropping legendaries, but when you realize that it's no longer worth picking up rares at level 15 something is seriously wrong. I don't know about RoS, but console loot 2.0 ruined the game for me very quickly. It also has nothing to do with taking anything from PoE... :-/ |

" Looks like Blizzard's marketing department is pretty good at what it does :3 Prepare for disappointment. GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

Im talking from experience on PTR - And that is nothing compared to what RoS will actually be like. Its already improved on ptr (IMO better than poe itemization) - And thats without having access to mystic or full MF bonuses from difficulty.
