Think what you want. Most people leave because they get bored with the game after a few months, just like any other game. Later on they come back for new content, new ladders or whatever.

Just wanted to comment on the point the op made. I was thinking about why that might be and I feel like its probably due to the nature of the die hard PoE fans and what kind of fan the game demands. The really die hard fans are going to be really hardcore gamers. PoE asks the die hard day in day out players to be a hardcore, smart and resilient bunch and those people in turn ask at least that much of the developers and the decisions they make. They challenge us and we in turn challenge them. As long as respect is understood and the conversations stays positive I think the criticism will always do more good than harm.

" There's criticism on both sites, the difference is on Reddit it's pretty much always constructive (the voting system helps alot), while here you have to wade through dozens of shitty posts until you find something worth reading. Yes, a lot of "whiners" and "trolls" are experienced long-time players, that know the game in & out and have invested a lot of time and (possibly) money into it.
