Man, nothing sells anymore unless it's the high end uniques

The reason something doesn't sell is usually because it's not priced according to what people are willing/able to spend on it. Makes sense, no?

Past few days I've been shopping for a new mace and the prices people ask are ludicrous. No idea if anyone's buying all that overpriced stuff or if they keep sitting on it until they give up and vendor it.

I ended up pooling all my currency and bought a 2S Marohi Erqi for ~2.5EX. Spent some orbs to get it to a 4L, now I'm a happy but broke camper.

PS: I'd buy the chest in OP (since my gear sucks) but I only have a couple chaos left so. :p

@OP simple answer:

I won't buy this armour because 3 Exalts is all I have in Standard.
and people who have the Exalts, have far better armour.


Standard is like a digital Banana Republic: the rich are very rich, and the poor are very poor.

Without the 5L I'm selling similar chests for 5-10 chaos, about twice a week I make a sale with that price.

That's on Standard.

Chests need 5-6 GG affixes or 6L with good colours to sell for ex quickly, at least that's my experience.

I would sell that for maybe 3 chaos.

Might get a bite on it then...

You mentioned that you set up your shop so the items show up in poe.xyz, but your shop is not set up so the b/o shows up on poe.xyz. A lot of players, myself included, pretty much only buy items that have b/o's listed on poe.xyz. When I do a search on poe.xyz I filter it show it only shows items with b/o's. When I changed my shop to show up that way I got way more sales than when I had it set up the way you do. People don't want to click on lots of threads looking for items with b/o's, it's way to time consuming. I bet you could get at least 2, maybe even 3 Ex for that armor within a week or two if you set it up like that.

I set up my shop to have buyouts and I idle on a ranked character if not playing. All my sells happen when poe.xyz.is shows me online via the ranked character.

You can buy a chest similar to that in Nemesis for like 3 exalts if you get a good deal. League with way way less gear available, and which has been around only a couple months. Even if demand is somewhat stronger.


Sorry but that prices are ridiculous in permanent leagues without item sinks, if I played Standard at this stage of the league (out almost a year) I would never ever consider to buy an item like that for that price when that currency could be sink in better places (basically, mapping or trying to roll BiS gear).

Only Nemesis has better economy and that's only slightly better. Domination has far worse.
