You don't have to idle on a ranked character, btw. You can idle on any character so long as 1 character on your account is ranked.

Think you are a little high in price OP. And this is to show that yes, there is a difference in the price of 5L pricing. To all the people out there bitching about high prices...that's the way it works. Some stuff is expensive. 10 chaos....is incredibly cheap. If you don't have 10 chaos, or can't farm it, then you are doing something wrong.

I have been playing a couple months now. That armor looks like vendor trash to me. I wouldn't even consider using it.

I have found three exalts my entire time playing and of course lots of exalts worth of other currency, but still by the time I find three more exalts, I will have found much better gears than that. Therefore it is not worth 3 exalts.

If I were to buy my own self found gear at this point, I could not afford to with all my drops that I have ever had. People simply want way too much for stuff that is not that amazing of gear.

I only use trading for translating one currency into another for use as the gears being sold are prohibably high.

while people are correct in saying standard has a bit more polarizing price range, this is just a type of the item which both fits that category and is kind of in the middle of utility.

first of all, it's standard so defenses aren't as valuable; they are only very valuable to high-level characters, but the problem is those with high level characters will not wear an armour that is not 6 link

and herein lies the problem, its not quite clear who this item targets

if you're a newbie to whom 3 exalts is a small fortune, you wont buy this chest. you'd find somewhat comparable chest and like 4 link it or buy it for 3-5 chaos tops 4linked. or find a shitty 5L and chaos spam it a few (<10 times and get life+resist+armour roll hopefully)

for a high end player this item is useless, the utility of one more link is huge in this game. if you're rich, zero reasons to invest in this chest. and if youre leveling a toon, again, its standard, so you dont need a 5L like that, really. and min level required is 68 ! its not a leveling chest either by any means.

the only type of players this chest may appeal to is newbies who got some lucky currency by only playing their main. but even then theyd be hesitant to spend it on a chest that just isnt 6linked

Do what Diablo 2 did and bust out a "rust storm" and wipe everything in the game...

That chest is pretty good. But not worth 3-5ex as someone stated earlier. 2 ex is a bit better I suppose. Honestly I'd give you something like 1 ex for it. The life is a nice high roll, armor is solid too, its 5 link, but the resists are too low for my taste. But most new players wont do that, they'd rather buy a white 5 link and try their luck at rolling their own chest. Plus on standard the economy is so saturated with items yours has really really got to stand out man.

Now if those two resists were mid 30-40 range then I'd say hell yea that thing is worth 3-5ex. You gotta think about who you're selling to. Thats not a leveling chest is meant to be an almost endgame chest. But thats really not good enough to be someone's endgame chest.

Personally I sell all of my stuff pretty cheap and it all sells pretty fast. I'd rather have the currency then let those items sit there and take up tab space.

First let me begin by saying how sorry I am that I did not read the entire thread.

Second let me say that armour is worth diddley squat. Since 1.0.0 or something, 5L drop and appear in vendors like flies hanging around shit. There's a lot!

6L is still stupidly rare IMHO and cost too much for a casual player to ever afford.

This game is broken! Don't get me wrong, I will play more but at it's core the game is buggered.

I mean damn, GGG can't even make my pet stop disappearing at random, getting lost when I move too fast or get stuck at waypoints/portals. That's some SHIT programming skill there. Mostly the rest of it works but some fundamental issues that would be simple to fix are just broken.

The reason why I never revived "companion" in Diablo 2, useless shit can't even keep up.
