The obvious micro transaction cash grab?

It's a free game. Play FREE and don't buy anything or put up with the prices and contribute to the dev team for this FREE game.

The first day of Open Beta and already all the Trolls are out. I love this Forum. After all the crap that went on at the Diablo 3 forum this was an amazing site to find. I truely hope that this doesnt end up like that. Oh well, Trolls will be trolls and Ill continue to ignore them. Heres to hoping for the best.

By the way Congrats GGG on the Open Beta Launch.

Maybe all the trolls of D3 have come here :)

I actually tend to agree with the original poster. I understand everything is optional and the game is free and they need to make money but I always felt that they weren't going to try to use "market tricks" to urge people into spending more. Figured it would be more, buy because you want to make your character look better/want to further promote PoE and get a little reward out of it. Again, it's optional etc. but I think with the general ideals they were/are trying to promote, it slightly puts a taint on that, even if ever so slight, doing something that CVS and Walgreens does might not have been the best choice.

Whoa! The PoE defense squad is about.

Come on guys... saying things like "well, micro transactions don't give you an advantage" or "don't like it don't buy it" are completely irrelevant to the point this topic is trying to make. You seriously can't deny that these virtual cash grab prices being ONLY A FEW POINTS SHORT of buying you an item of a certain tier are anything but annoying and exploiting the consumer.

Ah great, people that get it. QFT.

No one is saying that it's not a FREE game. The people here, including the OP, understands the concept of FTP and microtransactions.

No one is saying that microtransactions are bad.

The point of criticism is the pricing scheme.

That's how marketing works. It would be stupid of GGG not to use such "tricks".
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

That's not how marketing works. Marketing is not about putting up exploitative pricing schemes.
They'll never know how much money they lost from this - and it's sad. I'd like them to know how much money they're losing.

Trolls confirming themselfes not to be trolls? Kind of like a criminal vouching for an criminial.

And just in case some people didn´t notice, at this point it is kind of far too obvious that PathofExileVideo and heisenbergman are disturbing the discussion intentonaly (maybe some other people as well but I can´t tell for sure), just check their recent contributions over the last 4 to 5 pages. (At their posting rate their not only trolling but spamming as well)

For anyone who actually wants to have an discussion, well - good luck with those two around.

P.s.:And sorry for OffTopic.:>
So what if they made it

$6 - 50 points.
$11 - 100 points.
$20 - 200 points.

Would that be better?
