Trading too tedious? OR Trading is OP?
" "It did, and it will ruin this one too." sry but you are very mistaken , AH was a godsend to diablo3 it was ruined by 15% blizzard cuts in everything you sold on RMAH and bots stupid mouthbreathers are saying it ruined the game for two reasons. reason#1 they wanted bigfish items for 1mil gold when it was 1bil , once again someone has what i dont have ! so its ruining MY experience!!!11 reason nr#2 they couldnt play the AH so they quit and the reason for quitting was AH because of reason nr#1. you shouldve bought gear on the AH maybe you wouldve had more fun with d3 then with your supporter pack in PoE. no offense though but many PoE players LOVE to throw with stones in the glasshouse we´ve the same issue in PoE we had in d3 trading being more important then playing in order to become more powerful |

I think the AH in D3 was terrible but I can see how PoE is currently not any better since our trading system is almost as OP but more tedious.
Maybe I'm wrong somehow but thats how it feels atm. Standard Forever

The only reason for non-skilled games and gear check games is to provide a background for trading. I love trading so this is a good game for me. Playing the game itself is just tedious and stupid as it is just about having the right gear and standing there and spamming the same skill. In that respect is poe just an awful game with plain stupid graphics.Diablo 3 does everything better gamewise.

Trading is tedious for me but its true that its also OP as well.
I seen people tried to flip Tabula Rasa all day in trade chat, trying to buy them for 15-16 Chaos then selling them for 1 exalt and those WTS>exalted orb for 30 Chaos orbs... Yup, POE need something to help newbie to gauge the prices of some items and to get a general idea as to how much items cost or how valuable their orbs are. its quite easy to lowball in trade chat and get the item you want. Think of it this way:
When a person finds an item they think is worthy to trade, they've filtered through about a day's worth of play for that one item. They've looked at well over 1000 items to decide that this is the one that they will trade. The buyer is usually a shopkeeper. He only accpets about 1 in 100 of these items for resale. Then you, the eventual owner of the item, looks through 1000s of shop items to pick out the one you want. That makes the item you eventually buy 100,000,000 times better than a drop. That's just for a regular item. The odds of winning the $625 million jackpot last week were 1 in 250,000,000 about what that item represents. This is why trading is so powerful and once you trade, you'll never ever find drops or crafting rewarding. Last edited by Shagsbeard#3964 on Dec 19, 2013, 9:24:49 AM

"Oh, please... I could have played the AH just a couple of hours a day instead of smashing demons, and be wealthier than I could ever be in a million hours of gameplay. I actually have used the AH and all my wealth comes from there. I even used the RMAH and I have gained a few hundred €. Not hard at all. It was just simply NOT the game I bought. There are trading simulators out there and the so inclined can play them. Just please let an aRPG be an aRPG. |

" Couldn't have put it better. If you trade for an item that fits the bill perfectly, goodluck finding a replacement whilst slaying!!! Just dont trade in the first place and this game becomes a lot more enjoyable. Just for try for see and for know -2013!

This is a serious problem is PoE when there is too much demand for orbs and high end stuffs.
This is when there should be higher drop rates! Exalted are so scarce to find its made real money trading and sites that trade for forum gold blow up! Also has become defacto gold because of its domination in the market. Not only is trading OP cause of these stringent rates, it's also the cause of the bots, spammers, real money trade, and the forum gold trade. Stringency and scarcity cause famine, which in turn causes inspiration, creation, innovation and revolution; to sum it up the low rates are killing the honest players and rewarding the shady ones. The solo honest player is a target in this current environment. However, I don't see the will to fix this, the people I know enjoy the rates and say it's good to have hard crafting, oh well I guess. Who doesn't get bored with killing the same mobs everything with no skill at all? you just play the maps for the trading game that is all. |
