So the only reasonable expectation for the game that you thought of is that you should never have a 6L item ever. I mean, that's a fine one and all, nothing wrong with it. What if I played 10,000 hours though. Can I expect one then?

Interesting that your expectation is what you won't accomplish. I think you accidentally made a subtle statement about the current state of the game, there.

ugh, no.

First of all, since I play Nemesis, my "accomplishments" are measured in levels, not item acquisition.

And secondly, the point is that if I set my sights on flying to the moon, I'm not going to throw a hissy fit if the freaking Starship Enterprise fails to show up to take me there. It's quite possible to fly to the moon without such an extravagant vessel.

That said, if Jean-Luc Picard himself dropped by my house for a cup of Earl Grey and offered me a ride in his six-linked space ship, of course I would take it.

Have fun farming fellshrine to level 75.

Epic trivial content ahead !

But anyway, for all the folks that want a self found league.

Have you considered playing another game ?

One that facilitates that style of play. There a few on the market, some a bit old but acceptable and there is also a few alphas getting around that balance there drops for a single player experience.

You're just not going to get what you want from POE.It's designed from the ground up with multiplayer and trading in mind.

lol at comparing a video game to the lottery. Odds on getting high end gear in a video game should be comparable to winning loads of real life cash. LOL

So you mean...single player.

Sure the league is fine.
Could also work for offline mode or something.

How about adding something like the bounty missions in EvE or King'sRoad?

Who mentioned odds?

I was talking about expectations.

Time spent in a video game is not comparable to time spent playing the lottery.

In a video game your supposed to keep progressing and eventually reach certain goals for the simple purpose of entertainment. A lottery is not at all comparable.

Ok so if thats where you get your enjoyment why are you here discussing a hypothetical league that involves enjoying the game by finding and crafting gear?

Like I said... troll bait.

I thought the MF issue was interesting, I hadn't seen it raised before.

Unfortunately trying to isolate it (the effects of MF) within the party structure would probably be another logistical hurdle. Not one I think GGG would be interested in undertaking.

As permanent PA would be imposed to SF player, no matter of party setup, should should he have limited MF to his own value. Again, playing SF should not be playing alone IMO. How difficult this would be to implement I cannot tell but my guess is not that hard.

I said earlier, I play "self-found" in Nemesis and the game is exactly as difficult as it needs to be.

You must understand that you are an exception.
For example I find the game to be "just right" and I know this game pretty well, I have several 4L gear and I have traded very moderately up to lvl 56 or so. In merc i bought several gear pieces of 1-2 chaos value. Nice weapon worth 8 chaos. And I have pretty powerful build.

And I don't think game is too easy at all.

Again, The drop rates are fine the way they are, but you need to adjust your expectations if you aren't willing to get your hands dirty and trade for stuff.

If this game was designed around trading including difficulty, removing trade would influence it pretty hard. I repeat, again and again that I don't want it to be more easy then standard. Is anything wrong with that?

this!
I like the idea of a vendor recipe to burn chaos/alch for fusing/chrom/jew, but not too op. But i'd love a SFL even without any changes to the current drop rates / recipes!
