Regardless, you disagree with PoE being an MMO, and this I don't particularly understand still.
It's not about agreeing or disagreeing. The way the term MMO is defined does not fit PoE. It's as simple as that. PoE does not have a persistent world. Everything in the game is instanced. This, by definition, means that PoE is not MMO.
To explain it further: In PoE the areas that are closest to being considered MMO are towns, as there can be up to 24 players in those instances. However, even if at one point there are 24 players in one instance, once all of them leave and no new players join the same instance, after a certain time passes (8-15 minutes I think) the instance will close and be gone forever.
If PoE was MMO, you would always be in the same town.
The definition of MMO has nothing to do with instancing. Just about every MMO uses instances because the game engine can only handle a certain amount of players in any one area, or for balance reasons.
You need to recheck what MMO means, I think you don't understand what it means at all.
(b) Personal abuse, foul language, inappropriate subject matter, obscene, harassing, threatening, hateful, or discriminatory or defamatory remarks of any nature ... are not permitted.

torchlight 2 isn't listed as an MMO on steam, it's listed action, adventure, indie, RPG
which is what poe should be listed as
Because TL2 is a single player game, not a massively multiplayer online game.
Any game with a 'massive number of players playing online' is an MMO. Games which are single player first and foremost with optional multiplayer are not MMOs because they are primarily classed as single player games.
PoE absolutely is an MMO-ARPG. You cant play the game single player and it is full of a massive number of players.
That's not how the term MMO is classified.
I am surprised to see so few people who know what MMO means.

Yes, almost if not every MMO out there has instances. But that does not change the fact that the overall world is NOT instanced. Which makes those games MMO.

It's listed under Action Games.
Massively Multiplayer is like 5th on the Genre list after Action, Adventure, Free to play and Indie.
Who cares?

There's nothing wrong with it.
MMO = Massively Multiplayer Online. Path of Exile is an online multiplayer game with a massive amount of players. Therefore, Path of Exile = MMO.
Wrong the massively means on the same map
since we can only be 6 per instance... MMO doesnt stand
the best would be an Online multiplayer Arpg
Dungeons and Dragons online has a max party size of 6, or 12 in raids. Its still considered an MMO even though it is instanced. All the players don't need to be in the same instance for a game to be an MMO.

Ok so WoW isn't an MMO because it uses multiple instances, I.E servers to split its player base.
