" This is what I was trying to say, although I admit I've used less-than-ideal wording to do so. My bad. Regardless, you disagree with PoE being an MMO, and this I don't particularly understand still. Path of Exile in Eyefinity: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1320584

You got it all wrong brah it's not a MMO it's an action rpg. Get it right or pay the price.

Semantics aside, I do know people that would see "MMO" and not even install the game. Whereas if it was listed as ARPG, they would.

Most 'real' MMOs are instanced in some ways, so I don't really get what's the fuss about. There are dozens of people running around in a full town, feels mmo'ish to me.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

" Like I said, in a true MMO, everyone is in the same instance in nearly all zones. You wouldn't have your party in one instance of docks and everyone else playing in docks in different ones. There would be one Docks zone with potentially hundreds of players in it. |

" So in the end it's about semantics? Where would you draw the line? I guess WoW is a real MMO because you could literally crash the servers if you somehow managed to get hundreds of people derping around in the same place. What about Age of Conan or SWTOR which have somewhat strict instancing? Are those two MMOs or not? What about Marvel Heroes? PoE probably isn't the classic MMO, but I don't think Steam is straightout wrong giving it that tag. GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

Steam are terrible at putting games into the right category, or in the case of ARPG's, even having the category at all. This has always been the case.
