So, Blizz has the balls to remove AH...
" Again, I dont HAVE to trade if I want to get my 6l. I could farm for 6 months 16 hours a day to actually get a shavs drop(Well, probably not actually because RNG but hey, lets assume 120 days played is enough to get shavs. Then lets assume you need 5000 fusings, because quite a few people DO need that many. And lets assume you can farm 10 fusings an hour. Thats another 20 days play time. And tbh, you probably cant guarantee a fusing every 6 minutes. So yea, I COULD theoretically self found myself a 6l shavs, with 140 days play time. If im average in terms of luck. If I am bad, 500 days play time would not be enough. Now if I wanted to get it through trading, just saving fusings/chaos to buy exalts, I could do it in 15-20 days playtime. Its fucking stupid, that is all. Like I said, tell me what you would rather do. Trade for items, or try and get one coin to flip heads 10-20 times in a row. Why would you want to try the first when its so much easier to do the second. @Dudldude Honestly, who are these people. I have 70 fucking days played, thanks. I have something liek 15 characters over 60. None of this changes anything about what Inexium or I am saying.. IGN

( I repeat i understand you and i am like you )
but Why do you want a shav and a 6L one ? :D What i mean, is that they probably don't want you to get whetever is there on the game, i remmeber, reading something saying that the game is balanced around 4L ( or was it 4L-5L ? ) 6L would be an extra etc. Again i completely understand you, when i was on standard i was not happy i can't get My andvarius or a Tabula Rasa.. oh a 6L ? lol! A 5L I don't remember i had ever one! SO yeah i understand you completely What i trying to share is the way, I THINK, ggg think the game can run and live, and to illustrate it, i would ask on a lead developer behalf ( just my opinion, its probably false+BAD ) : Why do you want a 6L shav ? " And again, if they dont want me to get 6l, dont put it in the fucking game. The thing is, if it takes 5000 fusings, fine. I just feel that it shouldnt be 5 times easier to just BUY one. Now as to why I want one, because it is the optimum. A 5l shavs works. Hell, if I had to I could theoretically use a 4l(flicker/pcoc/meleesplash/multistrke) But why? Why would I NOT go for a 6l? Its the best thing I can get for my chest, and therefor I want to get it. Pretty simple.. I dont want it to be EASY, I just dont want it to be random, or easier to trade for than farm. IGN

" Regardless of whether or not you agree with Mieren, you're making a huge mistake choosing to believe that people who don't trade make avoid it because it's difficult. Are there some who avoid trade because it's difficult? Perhaps. I honestly think, though, that among non trading players, they would be infinitesimally small as a percentage. Most who avoid trading do so because they don't think it's fun or think it's counter to the nature of a hack & slash ARPG. I fall into both of those camps. I think trading is boring as hell and I think these types of games are (or at least should be) about making monsters all dead and going through their pockets looking for loose change. |

I don't even care about 6L's of perfect uniques, I just think the game should be enjoyable to the average solo player who rarely wants to bother trading. Instead the necessity of 4-links to most builds, getting all the resists you can, life/ES rolls, the lack of any real way of getting what those things if you're trying to other than MF grinding or trading... it stinks. Hard.
I'd like to play a game where solo self found isn't a slog that I know is massively inefficient in comparison to grouping up and trading all the time. I actually would group up and trade all the time if grouping and trading didn't feel like experiencing all the worst parts of D2 all over again. Finding items I know will be better off traded sucks, finding items I know I can use is great. But currently I've found 2 exalts and a divine since open beta, a pretty good amount of luck there, yet I never felt good about it. The divine is still in my stash waiting to be traded, the exalts both traded for chroms/fusings to make use of more gear upgrades. The drop I was most excited about? A rare belt that turned out to be incredible. Second best was Actons Nightmare cause I thought hey, this should be cool! But I've yet to play that Actons Nightmare. Because I know I'd be wasting it if I played it alone and not wearing any MF gear. Like the divine, it's better off traded to some level 90 guy with a dedicated MF culler. It's a shame, but it's the truth. Which is what I find the biggest problem with the focus on the economy of the game over the ability to play it. I think the main problem people have with fusing/jewelers is they don't either A. stock up enough mats to ensure they get what they want or B. They rely on the piece they are messing with or C. which is both A and B.
Take me for example. I have a 5l chest, 4l boots, gloves, helm. I use a bow, yet my bow only has a 3l. I can try to 5l/6l my bow at any time, using what I find as I get it and it WILL NOT matter because I don't rely on those sockets. Too many people take their 4l/5s, 5l/6s that they RELY on and then try to make it better. If you cannot do without the sockets/links, then don't fuck with it til you can. just my 2 cents. ign: Vixien

" The problem I have with fusings is that its fucking random, and there is NO 'Ensuring' anything. I think 4000 fusings is a pretty reasonable amount to take a shot of 6ling something. Especially since it exceeds the price of any 6l item in the game excepting the mirrorworthy chests. IGN

" boredom i dont need money - so trading for wealth to RMT is also not a reason to trade. i want to have fun killing stuff. so i log in and kill stuff. it would be nice if game that is about killing stuff actually rewarded killing stuff. it seems that killing stuff gives you fun but trading gives you wealth. sadly wealth is needed to explore all the fun this game has to offer - like making past lvl81 (rolling maps costs a fortune after some point - fortune you cannot farm) and having less than 20 points left in a tree planner playing low lvl chars up to 50-60 is fun but it is like looking at a candy instead of eating one |

" If you truly have 4000 fusings before trying to link your item, you really should just buy it. If you play self found only, then put them item in your stash and just try as you get fusings. Don't count how many it takes because: A. it will be the final item for that slot, cost shouldn't matter. B. You are self found, as far as you should be concerned. Nothing has value because you don't trade If you play self found but trade shit for currency to link your items, stop kidding yourself and just buy it or hold a lottery if you so adamantly want to only trade currency and not gear items. ign: Vixien Last edited by vixien#0024 on Sep 19, 2013, 1:17:23 PM
