Diablo 3 expansion announced! LOOT RUNS??!?!

Won't play another D3 game because - I can't stand the art style, the items are very un-inspiring and the character customization is just plain boring. Also it's basically pay to win with the RMAH.

Wrong. Most of us came to PoE after playing D3. D3 is just a terrible game, end of discussion.

I got 3 chars to max lvl 2 of them to act 3 inferno before they nerfed it in the beginning. The game was not fun. It just took me three weeks to acknowledge that it was a bad game.

Most people came to POE later because it didn't go into open beta for a while after D3 came out.

D3 is not a terrible game and anyone who says so, just hitched a ride on the hype train and think it's cool to hate on stuff because lots of other people are doing it too.

Hating on D3 because it has an RMAH is fucking retarded because nobody is forcing you to buy gold or items from it.

Both POE and D3 have their pros/cons and they shouldn't be compared so often because they are completely different games. The only thing they share is the ARPG genre.

PoE is an ARPG, D3 is an arcade game. D3 didn't live up to the name and isn't a real Diablo. Sorry to say.

I would say it otherwise.

Blizzard is motivated to release a pay2play addon
and therefore should pay attention to polish it beforehand.
Their revenue comes automatically as it gives enough incentive
to their current customers (everyone who played D3 before!).
There is no need to invest much more resources after that.
Everything over this point is fan-service to ensure customer happiness.

GGG is building on a free2play game
and therefore must build a game which people want to support.
Their revenue comes only from QoL and optical MTX,
they make many such options only available for paying customers.
In order for them to gain the same money they must bind their customers on a longer base.
But they also have the potential to get more money of a medium amount of customers.

Blizzard needs to deliver one time really good,
GGG needs to deliver permanently if they only work on one game.
Certainly Blizzard is wise to keep their payment model,
as they naturally profit of it with their huge, solid customer base.

Does anyone know about super secret plans on another game of GGG? :D
