" Of course, I actually think my playtime between the two is very very close. The difference is PoE is still way fun and D3 isn't. I don't hate D3, I just think blizzard let their greed show pretty hard and it makes me not want to support them anymore. And as far as pros and cons go, D3 has really smooth combat. That's it. I can't seem to find another great thing about it, if you do then please feel free to share. If the expansion turns out to be golden and really turns the game around then I'm sure I will put another 250 hours into it. But every hour will have to be backed up by real enjoyment and fun. Not by me putting faith into a developer I once trusted to fix things. Man_Mode

" 250 hrs is nothing. I honestly dont see how people think this game is more rewarding then d3, I left d3 because the loot drops sucked, and I put in the time. For me the loot drops are even less rewarding and the game is just not as fun to play. POE was designed and balanced around group play, running is groups is so boring its a super easy face roll with shit drops. | |
" 250 hours with at least 230 being pre paragon. So yeah, it was a lot of play time a year ago. PoE is infinity more rewarding. Did you ever actually find an upgrade for yourself in D3? I know that I and everyone I played with sure as hell didn't. Plus PoE has replayability that D3 will never achieve. Maps vs act 3 runs over and over? That's an easy choice. Not to mention crafting was a joke, at least here you can turn that white item into something, not just stare at them on the ground all day. And I don't know what your talking about running around super easy face rolling shit in PoE.... if your face rolling shit you must be running blue 66 maps, or still farming fellshrine or something. " The only items my characters have are self found, I may not have 100k+ DPS on any of them but I can run up to MP8 comfortably solo. The crafting system in D3 has been improved a lot in the recent patches and if you want better drops, even in Act 1 on D3, just turn up the Monster Power level. Crafting in POE isn't any better than in D3 either or do you like going broke just to get the links and colors you want on your items? When was the last time you even played D3? It seems as if the last time you played might have been before a lot of changes and fixes were patched in. Remember when I won a screenshot contest and made everyone butt-hurt? " It has been quite sometime. I usually read the forums and try to keep up on the patch notes to see whats going on but I haven't noticed anything in any of them that was a real game changer or anything. And I don't go broke trying to craft in PoE. If you are your doing it wrong. You don't spend your whole paycheck on lottery tickets and then get pissed when you don't hit the jackpot do you? I'm sure to a degree things are better than when I put all my play time in, but it's still not the game it was supposed to be. And really no matter how you look at it, blizzard has just been compiling fixes and waiting for an expansion. And THAT my friend, is the saddest shit of all. Man_Mode

" GGG has not done the same exact thing? POE has been in development for nearly 8 years and still has the absolute worst desync in the history of gaming. GGG is compiling small fixes, adding worthless microtransactions, and working on finishing Act 3 while doing nothing to improve desync. You being disappointed by D3 after putting in 250+ hours is fucking laughable. Way to jump on the bandwagon of a game that is no better. dont worry man. all those d3 haters here are gonna be the first trying out the new d3 when its released. they're just jealous and angry that soon there is no diablo3 left for them to bash, because it will be so much better then poe. and while half of the world will return to d3 they will dwell in path of exile with a couple of hundret players ... until they will realize that poe is shit and silently will also return to d3, but they will never tell anyone or admit it openly ... " I agree, the hate for d3 on this forum is actually strange. it is so strong. Its like they play POE just to spite d3. They will buy the exp, no matter how much they say they wont, because its going to deliver. POE like I said is less rewarding the d3, and also relys heavy on trading, The fact that trading is a pain in the ass, and the ah is easy to use dosent make trading better then the ah, its just a pain in the ass, but thats what the community seems to want here everything to be a pain. And for what little budget they had to make this game till now, I am enjoying it way more than I did Diablo 3. Edit: I like to think of the Craftin in PoE as the gambling in D2. I gathered gold until i couldn't hold anymore and then spend everything at gambling.
