Will loot 2.0 make interesting loot in the low-level brackets available?

The thing I like in PoE most is the fact,
that I can find useful end-game currency even while making alts.

I know that this is less important in D3 as you generally don't make alts that much
but I don't want to feel the disappointment of loot in my first act 1 playthrough again.

all legendaries, for example, will be available also in lower levels.
so you can find Tal-Rasha/IK sets etc even when youre lvl 15 or 30.

the stats will be according to your level ofc.

Sounds pretty bad. Looking forward to another shitty Blizz game.
Danskere: PM mig, hvis I har brug for en guild.
I see blizzard is trying to improve the mess that is Diablo 3, but it's really starting to look like too little too late. The console release was nothing more than a money grab, and the time invested in that should really have gone into fixing the train wreck on PC.

From what I have read so far, the itemization is going to be improved quite a bit but really it's in such shambles now that's not exactly a tall or order. Only one act and one new class seems pretty fucking weak too, people have been screaming for a necro since the original classes we're announced.

On the plus side: loot 2.0, loot runs, paragon 2.0 and nephalem runs will be introduced in the original game via a patch, so you will be able to see how they are before you throw down some hard earned $$$ on the expansion.

Given the amount of content, this expansion shouldn't be more than $40. Blizzard knows they have put a bad taste in a lot of peoples mouths, and hopefully they won't repeat.

Well, sounds good honestly.
It imposes however balancing issues.

Either balancing is rather more simple with the itemization currently present
or they give a crap about balancing, going the D2 route.

Either way, good to hear that low-level loot might be interesting.
Everytime I see how barebones d3 was and how the expansion seems to have a bajillion things I always remember this one phrase one of my friends said in regards to starcraft 2.

"You never buy a full game from blizzard"
Based on what has been announced, unless the expansion is damn cheap(which it won't be), I'm probably not going to bother.

From what I've read of loot 2.0, blizzard is completely clueless as to why the loot sucks so fucking much. It has only a little bit to do with the frequency of upgrades and shittiness of legendaries, which seems to be their only focus. A lot of it has to do with the fact that none of your choices in d3 matter at all. It doesn't matter if you use a sword, axe, or mace, it doesn't matter if it's poison damage, fire damage or lightning damage, all you want is more dps more crit more main stat. Snore. And not to mention the AH that they outright refuse to remove, even though it has had absolutely disastrous effects on the economy and the overall gameplay experience. As long as the AH exists, the most efficient way to play the game by a massive margin will be to play the AH, and their solution is of course to adapt even more garbage MMO elements with this stupid "account bound" shit.

And still, there's absolutely no reason to make another character. There's no reason to have any sort of investment in your character because of how diluted/nonexistent/total shit the RPG elements in D3 are. The expansion pack just looks to be more of the same action-adventure WoWablo.

Maybe they'll announce significantly more radical changes later, but I'm not impressed so far, and obviously very cynical after getting burned the first time around.

Thankfully there are alternatives.
sweet, so if i pay more money for the 1/2 finished RMAH that is D3... it will drop more uselss shit?

(i got a refund for D3, 2 days after release... took some verbal fencing with EB Games though)

The only thing I really wish PoE had from D3 is the fluid combat and that 'feel' as you play.

The character moves right, looks right, combat looks and feels right, that splash of physics just makes it shine.

Everything else is shambles.

Expect the Expansion to retail for $79 in Australia.
You can be the ripest, juiciest peach in the world,
and there’s still going to be somebody who hates peaches.
Oh right I forgot to mention the dialogue still sucks ass, expect more "TERROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAR" after every 5 steps.
I really don't see any desire to buy the expansion seeing as everything that really matters is in the free patch. If you got $30/$40 to burn a guess a new act and class might be okay? I'm definitely not buying it. I only got about 90 hours into D3 before calling it quits. Got one character to beat inferno while rolling another one and got bored very quickly.

Ha! That reminds me of a reply I wrote on a thread in the D3 forums that had something to do with story. Let me see if I can find it...

Found it:

All I remember from the "story" in chronological order:

Best/Most Memorable character dies.
Look footprints!
Bwahaha let me randomly appear as a shadow and tell you everything I'm doing until you come to fight me!
Tear-ror! Tear-ror! Welcome to the Realm of Tear-ror! Tear-ror! Tear-ror! *death throw commences* followed by 1000 gold reward in tandem with silly fart noise.
