I hear this tencent complain like every day here. You know that deal is like 7 years in the past?
Except last year they acquired the remaining shares & Tencent took full control since . And if you think a relationship between investor / company that evolve into a relationship between parent company / subsidiary company will not change global strategy overtime you are naive lmao . Just look at what Tencent is doing to Ubisoft ( one of the biggest fish in the gaming world ) : initially Tencent was only there to bring money & did swear they would never ever influence Ubisoft strategy whatsoever ... these last months have been nothing but talks about Tencent taking full control & buying out of business Ubisoft execs .
GGG is nothing today but another Tencent puppet .
It's still just wild guessing from your side. I still don't see any changes since the TenCent Deal or after they bought the remaining shares. TenCent knew what kind of company they bought and what their target audience is. If they would change everything about GGG and PoE now, the playerbase would just instantly vanish. As long as GGG brings money in, TenCent will be happy. Furthermore, we don't know what agreements were made when they bought the ramining shares.
That said: As long as I don't see valid proof that GGG has made some big negative changes since the deal, I rather stick to the fact that GGG did an amazing job in these last 12 years. Many players spent thousands of hours in this game and they are still figuring out new builds. And I think it will be the same with PoE2.
If you are so negative about PoE2 and you think TenCent will ruin GGG/PoE2 and everything will go downhill, why are you still here then? Why "waste" your time on something you seem to find doomed? Doesn't make sense to me, how people rather spent their time on negative things then positive things. Sounds unhealthy to me.
I'm not one of these doomers stuck in a abusive relationship : i waited for PoE 2 release to come back at enjoying some Arpg ( at 30 bucks for hundreds of hours i certainly did ) , but now that GGG clearly decided to leave the building i will wait until there's something big & new that finally address the issues we reported about PoE 2 . If they keep maintaining this radio silence i'll move on until final release then i'll test the water again and we'll see ... that's all there is to it .
Regarding Tencent deal the negative changes already happened gradually over the years : there's no longer any communication with the community , they ain't delivering on what they said they would , their product are now badly finished and the after-sales service is even worst . You don't want to see it ? Good for you .

Please find your tinfoil hat. Argument without basis or anything. Ubisoft keep making ubisoft games that have been the same formula for the last 10+ years, that in itself is sickening to me but that's a different story. And here you are trying to put the "this is all tencents doing"-hat on a company that keeps making new awesome stuff that usually communicates and put out content updates in 3month cycles, constantly throwing new stuff at people in a f2p format.

You sound impatient mate. You got an update with a lot of bug fixes just 1 week after vacation and now not even 2-3 weeks later you're whining about them not delivering day-to-day updates on what they are thinking, doing etc.. Let them debate internally and figure out how they wanna balance the broken builds, if they're gonna do a new trade system, fix the economy or whatever they're gonna do. Let them work, this is EA, stuff was expected to be somewhat unbalanced / broken. Report it and move on.

GGG is also a decade long one-trick pony .

I'm not saying it's all Tencent faut , i'm saying if you believe Tencent had/have no influence on GGG direction you are deluded lol
As for GGG own mindset & track record , you were all crying about Ruthless and lack of communication and this and that long before today . Don't attempt that "what you said is factually wrong due to GGG track record" spin .

Both conversations does sound oddly similar , don't you think ? The trend has been going on for years as i said .

Why do you talk like i'm actively disrupting their work ? I reported dozens of bugs , posted my feedback here & there , i had fun with the game which is now uninstalled until they fix & expand it . That's all there is to it .

If by "one-trick-pony", you mean that they development cycle is 3 months then sure. They do introduce new and interesting stuff in these cycles, every single time, new game mode, mechanic or whatever it may be. Unisoft simply have a boring open world with towers you need to click and activate to see farther - that's it.

And I'm saying that them being silent has nothing to do with Tencent. You may call it deluded, but it's also 100% speculation on your behalf and mine so why debate it.

Nope you aren't disrupting their work, but you are however writing in a thread regarding "I'm worried GGG took our money and ran" arguing against GGG, so by proxy doesn't this mean that you're agreeing that they are too silent? This was my reason for writing "relax and let them digest the thousands of bug reports, feedback posts and give them time to digest it, without complaining "why aren't you keeping me in the loop 24/7" ".
I think I get enough information from them, so your Ruthless argument doesn't apply to me, which makes it easier for me to say this. Their communication amount is fine and anyone who says otherwise should take a chill pill and breathe and touch some grass. This game is gonna be around for many years, and it takes time to determine how to fix X, Y and Z, give them that time. Don't demand a 100 pages manifesto every two weeks without suddenly claiming "we've been abandoned".

The irony being that's also exactly what the PoE 2 endgame is about : boring infinite map with towers you need to click and activate to find a citadel .
Regarding the rest i said my piece rather clearly i think ? I'm not looking for a back & forth debate .

The irony is that you're forgetting that leagues will be out, every 3 months, changing or adding to the endgame far more than any ubisoft entirely new $60 release ever has! Stop comparing the two, it's a bad comparison.

There are a lot of new players that haven't spent the time to read manifestos or understand the core pillars of GGG development.
The game is based on Leagues. One of the core pillar designs of POE 1 and POE 2, is purposeful Ebbs and Flows. They want (yes they want) people to stop playing between seasons, only to return with a absolute stampede with vast changes to the meta and new content. This creates unbelieveable amounts of hype and anticipation.
I tell you what-none of my friends who play POE 1 or 2 are going to return to EA if they fix a build doing 100m DPS. I can guarantee ALL of them will return when they release another act, and release a new class or two. This is true when they shift the META between skills, classes and ascendancies.
I am not blaming people for not understanding GGG's game design, intent and core pillars, just trying to educate people so they don't keep raging for no reason. I guarantee the cadence of releases and updates will not change in POE 2. It is too sucessful for the returning (multi-year) player base that spend big money each league.
Also.... free game. A new league gives GGG opportunity to release Supporter Packs. This is incentive to draw as many returning and new players as possible. This is not possible without new content and MAJOR balance shifting. It is the only way they make their revenue (and it is all optional).
Lesson Over :)
