I don't mind people complaining, but I can't stand for conspiracy theories that have no basis at all. Yes, TenCent buys MANY companies. That's how companies get rich, by getting bigger and broadening their portfolio. And just because TenCent is evolved, everything that it touches becomes evil? I hear this tencent complain like every day here. You know that deal is like 7 years in the past? Did PoE1 or GGG policies change in any negative way since the deal with TenCent? No, GGG still delivered seasons and stayed true to their hardcore ARPG game. We still have no lootboxes or microtransactions or pay2win in any way. On the other side, PoE1 was a big success until now, they supported the game big time during it's whole existence and their customer support always had a good image. Yes, the support right now is slow, but GGG already apologized and said, that they doubled their staff already because they got like 700k mails, which is like 10-times the amount of mails they usually get. There is literally no reason to believe they ran off with the money. If that would be the case, they would've had run off with the money after the TenCent deal or after the PoE2 release. But they are back, gave an interview, brought an update + a hotfix and now they are working on stuff. They don't have to post everyday or answer ever complain that exists here, because that would distract them from actually working on the game. I don't get it why people don't understand this. Game Development is one of the most complex programming tasks you can imagine, so trying to fix a game or coding new updates is a huge amount of work and you need a well-coordinated team for that, which GGG is I guess.

So again: Be patient and try to get out of your conspiracy-theory-thinking.

If we're lucky those features come out together or in a manner that they make more sense but some of it is just gonna be out of left field at first seemingly.

back in the day i used to get too emotional about this game too so i understand where some people complaining hard are coming from. but i wish i could go back and be less annoyed at the devs, less wantonly negative in my communication back in 2013/2014 on issues. i dont say this as a saint, ive been there too, but really theres no need to get emotional with a negative take.

i think the lack of communication, and i notice it too, i have a feeling its chris? he was always the guy right? even when he was just doing running company shit and was so detached from the meta and current mechanics he would come on podcasts, speak with the community constantly, make posts, be the hi im chris wilson from ggg guy.

have you tried playing counterstrike? i dont mean that as a dig at you, what ur saying is a very fair take but honestly if you want it to be all about the skill and not the rng this is just the wrong game genre. the entire thing is built on rng and game knowledge.

theres a lot of game genres out there that are all about the skill, nothing wrong with being into those games so im not hating, im just saying.

It's still just wild guessing from your side. I still don't see any changes since the TenCent Deal or after they bought the remaining shares. TenCent knew what kind of company they bought and what their target audience is. If they would change everything about GGG and PoE now, the playerbase would just instantly vanish. As long as GGG brings money in, TenCent will be happy. Furthermore, we don't know what agreements were made when they bought the ramining shares.

That said: As long as I don't see valid proof that GGG has made some big negative changes since the deal, I rather stick to the fact that GGG did an amazing job in these last 12 years. Many players spent thousands of hours in this game and they are still figuring out new builds. And I think it will be the same with PoE2.

If you are so negative about PoE2 and you think TenCent will ruin GGG/PoE2 and everything will go downhill, why are you still here then? Why "waste" your time on something you seem to find doomed? Doesn't make sense to me, how people rather spent their time on negative things then positive things. Sounds unhealthy to me.
