And the fact that one of the afflictions is the worst one you can get (-ms) means they really have no idea.

Getting 4x the afflictions then your boons is not random
What is random is running yourself into “gain a random affliction” something the op looks like they did multiple times

As far as the changes.. how are they going to come about if someone doesn't say something?
White knighting for the game company fixes nothing... and it doesn't even make sense. Are they paying you? No. So... why would you stick up for something so obviously broken?
stick up to for the trial? Because I disagree with you, I don't think it's bad. It's just as easy as lab when you learn the mechanics and how to path correctly.
And let's be honest, you haven't been the most civil one either when you call people trolls and so on for disagreeing with you.

I never once said anything about skill... this is a video game and an ARPG at that. I don't know what "skill" you're referring to anyway.
It's in the title, you literally said there's not skill involved. There's plenty of different skills involved to survive a trial. It's not all about clicking button mindlessly.

D4 does it just fine with their class quests
No, D4 does not do that. Not that deep. D4 is dumb enough to make you get the big damage skill, spam spam spam and it's done. No matter the quest. No matter what level you are or the gear or the skills you use, your D4 quest will be the same as any other of the same class. You are asking for two completely different things.
Sure GGG could do a class quest, make it easier for warrior and stuff, but that becomes boring when everything can be done without any consequences. Warrior are bad for trials, sure, but the game is far from being release yet. Maybe they will fix it. Same as poe1, not every class or skill can do every content. You have to choose what you want to do, that's what's keeps the game fun and replayable. D4 is far from that.

So you're agreeing that it's broken and that a one-size-fits-all Ascendancy doesn't work very well.
That's all I was saying.
It needs a complete overhaul actually. The whole system doesn't make sense.
It's along the lines of:
Player: I'm here to ascend to be a TITAN!
Game: Ok, well you have to pass these trials that this necromancer just took so you can prove you are worth to become a Titan!
