I don't defend everything in the game, as I think there is a lot of frustrating things going on, but they are clearly being worked on based on player experience, which devs are actually aware of (incoming patch being a proof to this). I hated being forced to do sekhemas, especially for my 4th ascendancy, it felt almost impossible to deal with at start, even though I was a sanctum enjoyer in PoE1. However, once I got some decent relics (honor resist, bosses taking increased damage, reduced merchant prices and more merchant choices), I can't recall me failing to do 4 floors (including the boss) again, ending every run with barely any afflictions and full list of minor and major boons.
So for whoever is struggling with the trial, I recommend either farming sekhemas till you get the proper relics, preferably with stats as mentioned above, or just invest into some (you can resell them later on if you are not willing to continue doing the trials, but they are also a good source of currency in the end). If you know what you are doing on the trial map, you shouldn't have any issues completing the trial once you get the relics going, trust. |
