1 Portal Is Killing the Fun

Stunning breach boss in wrong time and endless loop of mechanic. Twice in the row. Best experiences in my life. 10/10 idea to put 1 portal into EA.

These are by far my favorite compromise if they just have to keep in one portal for some reason.

I have just finally gotten to maps. 2 maps 2 deaths. zero desire to continue on.

No my defenses are not maxed. how on earth can i do that though without playing the game and finding items/currency to fix the problem. Max res is so hard to get.

sure I can just repeat the map and not die since the boss won't be there this time. but that just slows progression from getting outward of the ziggurat painfully slow.

If I wanted this type of punishment, I'd play hardcore. This medium core is undesirable. if you want a medium core mode, introduce it and let sadists play it that way.

If GGG wants to insist, how about a compromise. early maps should be 6 portals. (tier 1-6 or whatever) then cut that in half for 7-12, then one portal 13+.

OR. make it a rollable feature on the stones that gives more rewards for success. (this is probably the best idea)
350 hours in, my only real complaint is 1 death per map. It's just dumb.

Buying stuff on trade should not be the solution, it should feel at least somewhat reasonable to be able to be self reliant outside of super rng rare items.

If you're brand new at the game and don't watch streamers or youtube videos there is nothing in the game that lets you know that trade actually exists unless you have spent some time on the website with the trade button.

I don't think that worth playing the game now in a forced hardcore mode.
I tried every defensive layer I could to levelling (lvl 60+), but i can't even test those variants coz every map I enter, there is a random death somewhere, making me lose map, good nodes, XP and even loot I couldn't take. Levelling in atlas (level 60 to 80) took me at least 30hours of extreme frustating felling in a game, even more coz I can't test my builds without losing something, and the game don't give margin for error. Our build have to be 110% every time, u can't do any mistake. Not even dark souls games are that frustating (I have platined a lot of souls games, its harder than poe, but the death is not that punitive at all).

I don't wanna poe 1. I dont wanna to game feel much more "easy", but now IT IS TOO MUCH PUNITIVE without any reward. U have to stay alive no matter what, but mobs will one shoot u coz there is 50 different mechanics of damage, and its impossible to mitigate every one of them while still doing damage (especially in levelling without currency and expensive gear).

Make us to lose less in death to make the game more enjoyable.
10% xp is a huge thing in high levels, we already don't need a hardcore mode.
Or make less portals (3 or 4). Or at least make a PORTAL allowing us to loot after death! OR mitigate one shoots from mobs, or buff our builds.

After level 80 I don't even want to play the game anymore. To much grind for a casual player (besides the fact I have 1200 hours in poe 1) just for lose everything in a fraction of seconds without ate least a second try. Not worth the time, sincerely.

thats true, if crafting and drops were at a good spot. sadly they are not, at least at the moment and there is no reason to let beginners suffer because of that. trading is right now the easiest solution to get at least good gear to start mapping.

the game right now is harder and more punishing than poe1 for sure. if you are dying constantly in low maps, i suggest looking at your gear anf fix resistances, defense etc. it will be a whole new thing if your character is able to pull off the maps.
