He probably works for GGG. Those kind of comentary that says get strong don't worth to argument with.
Its more a lack of reflection. The game has players that either luckily picked the most OP builds or waited for someone to post it and lack the reflection to udnerstand that not everyone wants to play the same 3 builds and that the difficulty is not the same. Its a classical case of "works on my machine".

These kinds of cheap punishment mechanics are the kind of thing Blizzard would do just to min-max player engagement metrics. Too bad its backfiring hard on GGG and players are quitting left and right, and they will never return until changes are made.
Agreed.

It's not a crap argument as you've not successfully countered the argument.
GGG is a business. They have investors who expect a return on investment.
There's no greed involved. Just business.
And POE2 in it's present state with it's unforgiving "play it once and done" mechanics, is not a product that will retain the kind of business that they need to sustain their operations.
Your lack of counter argument does not make this reality simply vanish.
It is a crap argument. It's not because I don't reply to online hating trolls refusing to understand base game designs as to why the devs chose to implement them in a successful franchise. Me, like GGG, and seemingly unlike you, we actually have a family and friends to enjoy during these holiday time.
If GGG wanted money, they would never have gifted the whole PoE1 community the ability to enjoy all their past paid Stash slots on PoE2 ; they would never even allow the 30$ of EA access to be tokens for more slots. That's 10 years of free money they could have easily cashed back. They didn't.
They always and still do respect the player and the playerbase, and that's exactly why PoE2 IS a better game with more though out design, like the one portal per map. You refuse to understand why it exist because it hurts your feelings of PoE1 zoomers ; meanwhile, it make hundreds of thousands of players satisfied.

1 portal is nonsense. I got to the end game and started a new character. Pretty soon I won't have a reason to do that anymore either.

1 portal is great. The problem is not portals, it's that the current endgame balance is cooked.

With all the effects going on for numerous classes this is occluded and unable to be seen.

+1.
It adds nothing to the game. I'd say it was a Blizzard-esque mechanic to boost engagement, but 90% of my guild has already stopped playing.
There's been a shift in gaming over the last 3-4 years, lots of players are suddenly realizing how time-wastey and overly frustrating a lot of games are, and are just done with it.
They implement mechanics to pad gametime in so many games these days. It's why the AAA companies are starting to fail in NA, among other reasons.

Influx of casuals who don't actually care about games or want a challenge at all.

If you play hcssf, one portal doesn't affect you.
