1 Portal Is Killing the Fun

It does when you are playing sc to learn the game. Its incredibly counter intuitive to learning. it takes too long to get to bosses to only have 1 try

I cannot stand having 1 portal. Every single time I have died it has made dying feel worse, terrible, not good. It makes me want to walk away from the game. Far too punishing for softcore. And yes I have proper defenses, I'm talking about the random death every 10-15 maps.



tbh, 1 portal is not killing the fun. It 's just killing the whole game, because it concerns the end-game and everyone want to reach the end-game but not want to be kicked off of the map after only one try. I will return to POE1 or, even worse, return to Diablo IV, after waiting years for PoE2. What a disaster for me!
1 portal is the worst of many very bad design setbacks compared to poe1
My only issue with 1 death is the map node left behind is now only there to be completed so that I can move on. Otherwise I love it. If you're dying too much then something is wrong with your build or your playstyle or there's another issue to be fixed. The 1 death is not the issue itself, it makes the combat matter.

Edit: also, special bosses shouldn't be one try only if they take long to be able to try again
