Releasing the game in this state and then going on holiday was a poor decision.
Well since its EA and game is running pretty damn great i think i couldnt have hoped for much more than that. Yes there are issues but people seem to forget that this is still EA and half the content havent even been released yet. You payed for an early access and thats what u got, u really cant expect everything to be perfect or balanced 100% cause thats what EA is meant for, to solve these issues before official release. Yes thats it game is not released as some people seem to forget, ITS EA and u knew it when u downloaded it.
So be patient and stop expecting changes during holiday season cause they already said that they would take a break during the holiday and stop crying for changes to core design features like xp loss on death removal, they are there for a reason like it or not but they serve a purpose. Besides they already gave us more content for EA than D4 has released in every season combined so far and to be honest this game is gonna be far better at official release than D4 will ever be during its entire existence |

" BRING BACK DURABILITY. How great would it be to ACTUALLY brick an entire build with zero durability and no gold? Talk about hardcore.... Actually hold on....brain explosion moment: what if you could use GOLD to recoup some exp loss on death?! Or even use gold to re-open a failed map? As long as it remains untradeable, the existence of gold opens up a whole WORLD of possibilities. Starting anew....with PoE 2 Last edited by cowmoo275#3095 on Dec 30, 2024, 1:56:36 AM

I spent a 1000 or sth, wife 200+ on console and they can take a whole January for all I care, with 0 updates, except technical stuff for people who have problems. Game launched higly playable for 300k people it seems, good enough even to be reviewed by IGN, and guess what, I bet you can play it without major problems, and not all your entitled personal complaints have to be adressed asap.
You not liking xp loss is not an emergency, or a reason not to go on vacation. Why would you state it as sth objective btw, "should have been adressed" (because YOU say so), what if I love xp loss, am entitled and demand it to stay? Ever thought about it? And yeah I say keep xp loss. Last edited by Rabarbar_Lichy#7553 on Dec 30, 2024, 2:45:12 AM

" I really do wonder how gaming industry succeeded at making people think paying money doesnt lead to entitlement (its pretty much what a contract with a money transaction is about ...). On the other hand they also managed to make ppl pay extra for basics like Multiplayer and made ppl agree with destroying the second hand market pretending its something bad ... I cant think of any other industry where people are this undemanding after paying money. Its also almost comical how monetary transactions for items that are 50+ USD are called "Microtransactions". Just imagine - yeah you just bought that couch for full price - but you dont own the couch you only own the licence to use it and we can revoke it at any time. Also that extra pillow - if you want it its a subscription - buying it from a third party is a violation of our contract terms. And dont you even dare thinking about selling or gifting the couch if you dont need it anymore. Also if you want third parties to sit on it you need the premium subscription. Also its funny how nobody talks about the other way arround - if you dont pay in time - guess whos not gonna say "okay no problem just do it later". Also F2P is never F2P - you either pay with your data and/or have lots of things ingame that will lead to a way worse expirience if you dont pay extra and most of the time that extra payment will be beyond AAA pricing pretty fast. Dont get me wrong - the game is great - and their monetization atleast is not P2W - but the limitations of MTX are pretty extreme - especially considering the pricing. And their support also doesnt reflect the pricing of their MTX. Last edited by _N0ctus_#6387 on Dec 30, 2024, 7:15:30 AM

People expecting constant updates to an EA game are deluded, that's not how it works.
|

They need to fix performance & optimization problems first. Game stutters half of its maps on high end computers. I can play Cyberpunk 4k ultra but on POE2 suffering FPS drops.
First they need to adress these issues then game can come. Just waiting end of their vacation. Regards. |

" Most people dont expect constant updates - and their updates when it comes to the game directly have been fine and fast from my point of view. But ppl expect basic customer service when they pay for a product and MTX etc. I get that they are overwhelmed a bit - but i made a ticket at release - and now am waiting for any sort of response for 3 weeks. If thats extreme entitlement ... Just imagine ppl that bought the game Day1 - got some account issue and now cant play since 3 weeks but have already paid and not even getting any answer from support beyond copy paste if at all. " The support situation is unfortunate, especially when people with legit problems have to suffer because support are busy tied up dealing with people with problems they brought on themselves due to impatience or penny pinching. However that's not what the OP was talking about. |
