Bex is still around :) GGG has just advanced its front-facing PR and Community interactions, so that hate and vitriol cannot be directed at anyone personally. One side thinks that everyone is gone, which is absurd. It's an online enterprise, there's no Christmas or New Years or any vacation for some unfortunate souls each time, just so they can maintain the up-keep of the infrastructure, either you like it and believe it or not. There's always people behind ( they just might not have the authority to talk to you, but that's a different story ).

The other side is like there's 'mandatory' vacation during these times, which again feel free to research any company that is mostly built for online services and you'll find that you're wrong and oblivious. Mandatory is the business and it's services to continue working as expected, nothing else matters ( servers, databases etc ). Think again.

Any time of holiday is a stress-test for companies like this, which is the area that I'm working as well and I don't even remember when was the last time I had a vacation during these days, and that's fine as personally I prefer to go off later when everybody else is back to their normal as everything is usually empty within Jan/Feb since all others have spent their money in places packed like sardines ( but that's my personal state of mind at the end of the day ).

Others are like "give them a well deserved vacation", well deserved for what? For doing their jobs and what they supposedly love doing? There's nothing "well deserved" here. They didn't do it because they love you, it made them money, it's a business and unicorns don't exist. And I'm not saying they shouldn't take vacations, they can do whatever they want, but don't wrap it as a present and bubble it up either.

The fact of the matter is they dropped an early access on a time that made the most sense business wise from all perspectives.

They made their cash, got their yearly bonuses and can have solid plans for the future now ( which is fantastic, I supported them to the fullest as well ), people are gonna be home playing giving all kinds of feedback ( good, bad, ugly, doesn't matter it's feedback ).

Now if you don't like the overall radio-silence that's fine as well, but at least stop "blaming" the time-period, it has nothing to really do with it. They could've been here ( and they might be ) answering to everything.

There might be 20 developers already working on the next patch according to feedback as we speak and whoever is doing the public-posts etc is just on vacation atm so you won't get your update until they get back. You don't even know that.

Don't look at the finger when someone is pointing the moon.

Relax, take a breath, it's all part of a bigger picture and you'll get your news when they're ready to do so.

Indeed, but bex will no longer communicate with us like she used to - a shame, really. Especially knowing that hate and nerd rage is what caused it. I'm glad that GGG takes care of their employees. It's one of the reasons I will happily tell people screaming like this they're acting like children and are one of the main reasons GGG has stepped back from being as communicative as they were in the past. GGG has been cooking well for the last 10 years, I trust them to take care of us. A few weeks of vacation time is a small drop in the bucket for the quality of content we can expect over the next few years.

Right, and do you truly believe that it will always stay this way and they will just not touch the topic? This isn't blizzard. That's the problem, everyone is acting like the world is over and GGG has left this game to rot. Their track record says this is delusional thinking.

GGG has made PLENTY of mistakes, but the great part about them is that they will eventually move towards a better experience for the community as a whole. Give them time to cook, it's almost like the project they've been busting butt for years on just came out or something.

What do you mean? Poe 2 was meant to fix melee. That was the sole purpose of making poe2 in the first place. Why would they need more time to work on warrior. Its current state is where they want it. They want you using auto attack apparently.
