The Amount of Time "Vacationing" is Actually Absurd

In the meantime, despite the huge amount of work that needs to be done, and all the issues people are rightly pointing out that don't amount to simply, "game bad", I think in 8 months or less we will have a fantastic start to a legendary ARPG. Sure hope I'm right!

Sounds good. Let's see how it pans out.
How dare you not think of entitled gamers.
Let's be honest the game launch was great and one of the best launches (especially of an Early Access game) in ages.
They fixed a ton of stuff immediately too.

Sure there is a lot more to fix and balance, and they will do it.
Let them rest, if they said they needed it, they needed it.
The game dev industry can be exhausting and you definitely don't want these people to burn out, and spending Xmas in the office reading raging rants is the number one way to burn your brain for sure.

They'll rest and then the patches will flow like spice, be patient.
Ok, most people agree that Holidays must be celebrated and employees need vacation time.

However is disingenuous believe that GGG didn't take in consideration how bad the state the game was, the backlash it would have and choose to release an Early Access right before X-Mass and New Years Eve to avoid a sh#t storm and dealing with the angry mob.

The angry mob has existed for every patch since the dawn of time on reddit. This EA feedback forum is basically the same. The people busy enjoying and playing the game are not here, for obvious reasons. There would have been a shit storm no matter what, the game is not in a bad state, it is in a very WIP state, hence Early Access.

Again, I mentioned it before but delaying it further would have just caused problems, and deprived GGG of valuable feedback on what works and what doesn't. Literally an impossible outcome for the game to have been appealing and satisfying to the entirety of the playerbase the moment the public gets their hands on it.
All I can think about reading these complaining posts is that these are the reason we lost Bex. Shame.

Bex is still around :) GGG has just advanced its front-facing PR and Community interactions, so that hate and vitriol cannot be directed at anyone personally. A step in the right direction for their mental health certainly. Mark and Jonathan are truly passionate and confident fellows for willingly being the face and voice of the direction of the game. Hats off to those guys for stepping up.

I don't disagree with you that the players liking the game are playing and not in the forum. But, the forum is where feedbacks are given and GGG's resposability to address and deal with.

They chose to act like that meme "drop this and run way", it indicates bad faith. They wanted to use the holiday opportunity to reach a wilder and broader audience than it could have been in January, it is fine... but, as I said is disingenuous act like it wasn't planed to leave people talking to the wall without deal with them.

I think it's disingenuous to believe that expecting a company to not take any holiday at all at this time of year is completely reasonable. Again, you can't separate some employees getting these holidays or not, or make it a choice. I shouldn't have to explain why.

We just need to be reasonable and patient. They didn't drop the game and run away, they got it done as soon as they could, and it landed just a few weeks before Christmas, and no reasonable person would accept them delaying it another 5 weeks, just so they didn't have to be expected to not take holiday. Since any reasonable person would say, "It's fine, drop it, take your holiday, we'll see you when you're back".

Edit: double negatives, I'm really bad for those today, sorry

Happy Holidays from the community that review bombed you for changes in Expedition League!

I get it. We got more of an Alpha than a Beta for PoE2 but don't you have other games? I'm being pulled in all directions with friends and my own interests right now. I just hope they stick with the general combat framework they have because I don't think I can go back to PoE1.
