The Amount of Time "Vacationing" is Actually Absurd

This has to be a joke. Its an early access/beta. There is no urgency to fix the game, the purpose is to test it as see what works and then let them work with the data.
Man, they've probably been crunching for months in preparation for EA. They have families and lives too.

Give 'em a break so they can come back rested, refreshed, and ready to deal with the bigger issues. It's not something to rush into.

I hope they take till mid January at least.

Thank you, devs, for all the work you've done so far, and the countless fixes (hopefully) to come in the next few months and years. You deserve the rest.
it's insanely convenient to just dissapear after paying insane amounts of Ads/streamers to promote this EA.

but whatever. this shitshow will take years to get to a decent state anyways.

I just find it funny and cringe people treating GGG like a small indie dev team at this point.

This absolute silence about the stacking concerns and issues till next year (IF they don't take extra weeks ofc) just doesn't fit a global online service provider (this is ENTERTAINMENT. Holidays are part of their bussiness)

PoE1 deserved my money (for a period). now they're acting like the monsters they used to be the option to move away from.

This reads like a dystopian satire but it's actually real. Crazy work.

It's not dystopian at all lmao. They can take as much time off as they want, but releasing your second ever product to monumental hype and dipping is bad business. they should have delayed until after the holidays if they were going to release in this state

Buddy, they could have 10000 people working there. Are they gonna only give some of the employees a holiday? Discrimination. Want holidays off? Use your vacation time. See how well that goes over with your employees. Totally insane.
The difficulty of it is that the time it takes you to farm anything meaningful in endgame takes so long you lose all of the enjoyment so you just aren't interested in the farming anymore. At least this is how i feel about it.

It is named so, because that is how steam chooses to label is, and GGG's main storefront, by a massive margin, is steam. Steam doesn't love the idea of people paying for betas. There is quite a lot of restriction on exactly how you can and cannot market a game, or do EA for a game on Steam.

Sure, but I would interpret that as Steam not wanting to offer unfinished games (i.e. betas) in exchange for payment.
So if you then take your arguably unfinished game with half the content, re-package it as "early access", and put it up on Steam in exchange for payment...
I don't know. That's a bit disingenuous.

Thinking its an unstable product is feedback though. If they thought it was ready for launch and someone else doesn't feel that way playing it they may want to know that and/or why they think that. Or they may just think Git gud may be the best solution.

Alkaizer predicted this would be a shit storm and that was long before the launch of the game.

He said it was something like(i dont remember exactly his words) 100x harder than poe1 and everybody would cry that its too hard.

And guess who has played by far the most PoE2 out of anyone. This is the exact problem with the vocal minority and reddit. They create this echo chamber and false pretense that Alkaizer is a massive outlier and nobody else enjoys the game the way he does (swap Alkaizer with any x visible enjoyer of PoE2).

It's just not true people. I am here eating pizza and not playing because my computer doesn't run the game that well. But even through 30fps I've loved almost every moment of the core experience. There is so much to improve, but everyone asking for PoE1 with updated graphics, I hope so badly they don't give in to that and stick to their core idea. It happened with PoE1, it was supposed to be a much different game but GGG pandered to the speedclear, linear progression, deterministic crafting portion of the playerbase. They have the ability to stand on their own to feet and not give in so easily anymore.

and this is the exact problem with the "vocal majority" which i really don't think you are. you lump every complaint into one category of "make game poe1" when no one is asking for that. you are as big of a problem as anything, with your blind swinging of your sword defending the game from anything and everything. understand there's nuance to most things, and most people speaking aren't just braindead apes. it's pretty easy to distinguish one from the other, if you yourself aren't a braindead ape.
Ask yourself: If this were Blizzard, how would you feel?

Eh, I can totally understand this perspective. Honestly I can't say with any confidence exactly how these things should be marketed, I can only say that as a paying customer, I have no issue with my game needing some more time in the oven. There is a reason I have hundreds of dollars in supporter packs for a completely free game, I trust the devs to deliver, which is an incredibly rare thing in this current games industry.

Trusting them does not mean I expect them to get it perfect first try, or never make mistakes, just that eventually the game will continue to improve over time.

GGG is in NZ, its summer. People need to admit they should have pushed the release until after the holidays. It also takes 1 person maybe an hour out of their day to give some sort of update.

Er, that would be illegal. New Zealand has a mandatory state holiday:

Christmas (Māori: Kirihimete[1]) became widely celebrated by Christians in the late 19th century. Today, Christmas Day and Boxing Day are both statutory holidays in New Zealand, and Christmas is celebrated by both Christians and non-Christians. While Boxing Day is a standard statutory holiday, Christmas Day is one of the few days of the year where all but the most essential businesses and services must close.[2]

I have to also tell you that, being a Colonial enterprise firmly from Caucasian Christian countries, New Zealand and Australia very much do celebrate Christmas at Christmas time, and very much would think you're either trolling or a Martian for suggesting otherwise.

Take a xanax and a week off.
