The Amount of Time "Vacationing" is Actually Absurd

I agree 100 % that it was the worst decision to release it early december.
But here is the thing: They needed the cash income in 2024. That's why they released it in such a basic form. Especially the horrble endgamefeeling.
When i just think of the atlas i could rage. There is absolut no structur.

The campaign was great, you could feel while playing that there was enough time to design it.
But the endgame is by far worse than in diablo 4 ( and D4 had nearly none !)

Everywhere you find errors, bugs unbalanced and not logical things like mapdroprates or materialdroprates and the citadels or the on death effects the general damage from mobs, meeledesign in endgame etc.

They just pushed it on the market.
Sorry they dont deserve a *you earned your vacations*.
They made the decissions not the customer.

And if I release a VERY hyped game in such a way, than they dont need to be curious to say *oh why our customers are angry*.

They dont have multiple titels which they have released, just 1.

And they did release it because of the balance sheet and final results.
So this was their decision and now people are defending this behavior. I can*t understand this.

In that same time they can also take a break from crunch. Maybe this mess on the forums will get them talking about polls and curated feedback.

It would help if the thread had not devolved into sophomoric zingers. A lot of people here calling out others' behaviors to be childlike are, themselves, behaving like children.

this doesn't make any sense from a consumer standpoint

Imagine going to a restaurant paying $30 for food you either enjoy or don't, staying for multiple weeks eating all day long for that same $30, and then getting pissed off when the entire staff takes a couple weeks off and yet the kitchen staid open and you're still eating for that same $30. As is EVERYONE ELSE IN THE PLACE.

Only now you're banging your table making a big karen-energy scene insisting on yelling at the manager because the food isn't exactly what you want, and insisting that the people on vacation ARE TAKING TOO LONG TO GET BACK AND SERVE YOU AGAIN FOR YOUR INITIAL $30 BECAUSE GOD DAMNIT I PAID $30 AND I AM IMPORTANT!!!.

The analogy is much more accurate my way don't you agree?
Pandering to players who don't want consequences for their mistakes is a perfect description of what went fundamentally wrong with D3 and 4.
If they wanted mindless mobile game time waster gameplay they sure did make some perplexing choices and marketing statements for 6 fucking years.

These threads are offensive to anyone who's ever actually worked for a living. Imagine thinking your $30 entitles you to dictate post crunch vacation time of real world people who have families and lives, as though your desire for entertainment trumps that.

Why these giga-karen-speak-to-a-manager energy threads aren't auto deleted is a mystery.

I mean you can't fix the kind of entitlement and complete separation from reality that some young people are openly displaying without shame or self consciousness these days. but they could at least just automatically delete them.

The people in this thread are exactly like the screaming kids in the store who's parent wont buy them the toy they walked past.

Worst part is its so infuriating that I'm risking a forum mute for speaking my mind, to some people who desperately need the honest truth of self reflection that comes with being told they're acting like children. Seriously its a disservice to these young people to not clue them into how they sound and that truth is just intrinsically insulting.

It's more like you ordered the steak, they brought you the steak but it is a little too crispy or burned in the edges, or too salty. Then you ask for the steak to be replaced and then go mad the waiters are either in break time or attending other tables before returning with your "fixed" steak.

how much do they pay you to hall monitor all day with terrible analogies and worse takes? that's right it's your free time lmao

except....you got your steak. If you paid your $30 and they just never released PoE 2, then what you said would make some sense.

Heck, you even got more than your $30-worth, because they spent 2 weeks tweaking and fixing the "steak" for you so that it could be as perfect as it could be for that moment.

PLUS you are getting a lifetime's worth of "steaks" here.
Starting anew....with PoE 2

At the same time some people need to be told what their behavior looks like to people who've held jobs and had social interactions outside the nest.

Sometimes a truth is also insulting. I would say its more parental than childlike to be bluntly honest when its necessary.

do you not even read??????

I assume all the people whining about vacations here are ready to get fired from their own jobs the moment any customer whines about their vacations as well.
No I don't agree, his point hits the situation way better than your explonation.
Here is why: the 30 bucks are not unimportant in this case, because they offer in basic a F2p game. So the money and the point of their release are jumping on the table.

Imagine they would have released it in august and till december they could have made at least 5 patches to balance, fix, buff or nerf things.

I am very sure the threads in this forum would be at least 70 % less.
But they took the money and went into vacations. They are publishers... They do know how many problems they do have to fix in first weeks after releasing a game.

But they needed the paid money in the annual report - balande sheet.

So this is the problem.
They take something - give something where they are working on since 7 years and call it EA.
Then no one has the right to say something is bad, because its EA.
