LE has an in-game auction house and the implementation is pretty great, maybe should take a look at that
if you compare games you need to compare all aspects, you can't just watch a single one.
last epoch has been a single player game from the ground up, then devs devided it could be nice to "add a multiplayer part".
poe was designed to be a multiplayer game in the first place.
if you look how much last epoch needed to change to become multiplayer, you can see how much poe would need to change to have easier and automated trading. and i don't think many of those ah fans aee aware of that and also would like the changes at all
age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

We definatly need a way to trade in game.
Leaving the game to visit a website then spending half an hour using 1980's tech search tools only to whisper someone who does not respond. Who thought this was a good idea? It's 2025 fml.

actually the search options and filters on the trade site are pretty damn good.
youre really making it worse than it is by far.

No I am not making it worse than it is. The actual search filters can be perfect it still takes a lot of valuable time to look for an item that fits your character. You completely ignored the point.
After spending that time searching and finding the item you still have to rely on another player responding to a whisper, and in my experience 90% of the time they don't.
Then you will say just find a similar item and whisper someone else, but again that takes time to find a different item thats not quite as perfect as the first one and THEY STILL DONT RESPOND! I spend an hour and a half the other day looking at items and it was a complete waste of time because I guess everyone was afk or busy doing maps.
The currency exchange is an in game auction house, literally, but only for currency. We need a better way of trading items than the current state of things.

you would spend this time searching for an item that fits your character no matter if the tool is outside or inside the game. you would rely on the player responding no matter if you searched the item outside or inside the game, too.

No you would not ! You would spend time to find the item and then click buy and bam the item goes into your inventory and the orbs are taken from your currency tab, Easy Peasy Done and Done.

and on top you would never ever find a cheap item because they would all be insta bought out by livesearching bots. every single underpriced cheap item is gone, every overpriced item would be there for you.
not a single new player could learn something about item pricing. made a mistake and priced a 10div item for 1 exalt? poor guy, item gone. they would not even notice they made a mistake.

Are you under the impression that there's no bots on the webiste buying and selling items right now? Or that there aren't no lifers sitting there buying out and reposting things? poor soul.

there is both. and they will profit far more of any automisation then any normal player searching for a cheap item 2 times a day.

There are tons of ways to combat bots and they've all been beaten to death in this very thread.
