We need an actual AH (yes another time)

It seems the game is already becoming the same old elitist trade game, thing that got me off the boat in PoE1

I'm not against trading, I'm against the fact that we have not a system that is usable and easy for everyone, the player that has 2 hours a week, the one that wants to get a cool item for his build without struggle.

I'm not saying we should get rid of orginal trading, but we definitely need an alternative that can be used ingame, by everyone!

cheers!

I agree, the current trading method is complete ass. It always has been.
You didn't actually say anything about why the current system is hard or what is wrong with it. Why can't you just type the item into search like everyone else? Why is that harder than an auction house?
Don't think they can pull it off anymore, I was really hoping for an actual AH with poe2.

Having to leave the game to trade is trash.
Praying to the baby jebus for the 50th person you message to reply is trash.
Just make it in game and when you click "buy" it goes to your inventory. Job done.
Yeah, the fact that getting the right items without trading is almost impossible (crafting seems not granular enough, because it COULD be a solution), while at the same time trading can instantly max out your build feels kinda MEH, and a little out of tune with the "challenging mood" of the game.

That's also what felt off in PoE1 endgame imho.

Some kind of stash page for limited automated trading (basically the same we have now but asynchronous, so it doesn't require you to wait in town for hours or use bots) would be awesome.

Or give us incremental ways to build items and/or ways to lock some attributes and reduce a bit the randomness. Also a way to buy blank white items would be good, I'm sitting on hundreds of orbs but very few white crossbows...

OP just bitching coz they haven't learned how to use the trade site search functions properly.

An auction house would only be more detrimental to the game as a whole. Main reason is the no-lifer teams will just overpay for all the best items to use them for mirror shops rather than gamble all their own currency away hoping to craft the best items, effectively making their market monopoly even easier for them to achieve. If GGG ever lets this happen, it would cause a sh_tstorm of epic proportions.
One of the reasons an auction house is not a good idea is because there isn't any way to stop bots from buying/selling. Imagine trying to sell a mageblood etc and putting it up accidentally for a stupidly low price. Then seeing it vanish from existence because a bot bought it the moment you put it up for auction. I know I've placed things up for trade with the wrong currency before and gotten flooded with messages.
Plenty of games with an auction house and endless bots, go try those!
Step 1 is to self reflect.
OP is right that the trade site is a pain. People not responding sucks, an AH solves that.

I like the site better than trade chat, and it was a great addition (when someone else made it them) but take us to the next level with an actual AH.
I can see your / Back is turned and / If I could I'd / Stick my knife in.
